Chose to volunteer here rather than send money... and best experience ever. Truly heaven on earth . Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back ❤️
I was a volunteer at AAU before the pandemic. It was a life changing experience. First the animals that need so much love and affection and will show you gratitude, make you feel like your input is valuable, and literally just petting a dog can change its life. And second the staff and owners... Such special people. The whole place is full of love and support. So if you consider offering a bit of your time to volunteer, AAU is the one of those places that will leave a mark in your life and without a doubt bring you back again and again. Don't hesitate to join and help the amazing people who have poured their life, resources, love and compassion in a place of the world where animals really need it. You will learn so much about everything related to animals and more importantly yourself.
Thank you AAU and everyone involved! ❣️
I'm feel very privileged, fortunate & proud enough to be part of this incredible NGO.
As it's name suggests it truly provides "Unlimited" care Love & Care to the voiceless injured beings.
A heaven on earth for strays.

This organization has a confusing series of names- is it Animal Aid Unlimited or Animal Aid India or as someone has posted Animal Aid International.
One of my favorite charities! Enjoy the great work they do in the youtube videos, I will watch them all and continue my support.
It is disheartening that there is a review that doubts the sincerity of this wonderful organization based on the fact that it's US address is a home. This is simply to save money. This organization tries to save as much money on non-essentials as possible so it can help more animals where they are operating - in India. I have only seen and read positive things about this organization. They work hard and efficient to save and ease animal lives wherever they can. If you do not bother to inform yourself before writing keep your cynical views to poison your own mind not that of others who try to create a better world. ANIMAL AID INTERNATIONAL IS TOP NOTCH.
I want to thank you for saving the animals that is the closest to god that you will ever get. You have a special place in heaven for what you do. I have fostered newborn kittens in the past and it gave me alot of joy. Diane
I volunteered with Animal Aid Unlimited for five months and absolutely loved my time there. The work that they do is incredible. Not not only do they rescue and treat sick street animals, they also work hard educate and engage the community in stopping animal abuse and understanding how they can make a difference by making changes to their own lifestyles. They are open and honest about the issues and have such a genuine passion for animals. They share their knowledge by running free first aid courses for Indians and supporting people to open their own rescue centres and shelters in their area. AAU hugely value their volunteers and trust you with lots of responsibilities such as bottle-feeding calves, medicated baths for dogs and brushing the animals. The staff are always there to support you through everything. They allow volunteers to be flexible in doing more of the tasks they enjoy and less of what they don't enjoy with no pressure.
Would not hesitate to volunteer again and encourage everyone to go for a tour and see for themselves!
After following Animal Aid on social media sites for years i finally got to volunteer at the beginning of 2020. I stayed for 1 month and as an animal lover who values ethical animal conservation work it was the best experience i've ever had. There is an immense sense of love and compassion felt from the staff and volunteers and the love you receive from the animals is something I have missed everyday since leaving Animal Aid. There is nothing better than animal therapy. I'm already planning on returning next year hopefully!
I volunteered at AAU for a month in Feb 2020 and absolutely love it! The people who work with the animals are incredibly kind, caring and hardworking. It made my time in India so special. As a volunteer you get involved in everything they do here, from cleaning and feeding to swimming with the handicapped dogs and giving medical baths. The animals get so much love from staff and volunteers and the animals give so much back in return. Everyone who works here genuinely cares for the animals and each other and it's a fantastic atmosphere. I'm planning on coming back next year (if the government allows it!) x
I've ran out of superlatives for this incredible charity. The work they do here is just incredible.
It is an animal rescue centre in Udaipur, India. They are one of the biggest rescue centres in India and have a great social media following and once you see one of their YouTube videos, you'll understand why!
I had the honour to volunteer here, which was supposed to be for 2 weeks. In the end I was there for over 2 months! It would have been longer too if it weren't for this pandemic. There is a wonderful atmosphere in the rescue centre, created and maintained by the owners/founders Jim, Erika and Claire which has filtered through to every member of staff. Everyone has their role to play here, whether you visited for a tour, volunteered for the day or for 4 months everyone that comes through makes a huge impact on helping the rescue centre go forward.
They rescue mostly dogs, cats, cows, buffalo, sheep, donkeys and chickens. But recently they have also taken in pigs and tortoises too, so there is plenty of variety here!
There is the plenty of space for all the animals to roam in their respective areas and are forever grateful for the love they receive.
I consider this to be my spirit home, so I will definitely be back as soon as I can!
I have volunteered at this facility, which is located in Udaipur, India. They do tremendous work, from vaccinating and neutering street animals (providing some care on the street), care at the facility and homes to animals that would not survive on the street. Additionally they operate a hospice for dying cows (euthanasia is illegal) and community support and education. I will be returning there next month, and hope to continuing visiting annually.

I've supported this charity and communicated directly with the organizers for several years.
To answer the question about why the group lists its address in the US as a private home: The American family that founded and runs the organization moved to India, where the group is located. Paying for office space for the sake of a US mailing address doesn't make sense and is unnecessary at any rate. Their work is transparent, and visitors and volunteers are welcome.
After seeing videos of these incredible people, and how caring they are for these poor, damaged animals, I immediately sent a donation. It breaks your heart to see how badly off these dogs were, and how, almost miraclulously, they were doctored back to health. Seeing them running around again happily is most gratifying. Also, the staff is so affectionate and careful with their patiets that you can only applaude their empathy!!!!!
Incredible work in India where they saved the life of a dog extremely close to death. Simply Incredible work in India- where such help for animals is extremely rare.
I found out about this charity watching animal rescue videos on youtube. I can't say enough about this organization!!! They do so much with so little and the joy on their faces when they rescue an animal is infectious. I made a donation and received a personal email from the co-founder, Erika Abrams. I have no idea how she finds time to do that. I highly recommend them and if you subscribe to their youtube channel, Animal Aid Unlimited, you can watch the videos and WATCH the COMMERCIALS as they earn revenue from the advertiser. Please consider contributing to their cause.

Animal Aid Unlimited, based in Seattle, WA, is a rescue center, hospital and sanctuary for ownerless street animals in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. They take on the toughest cases - dogs, cows, donkeys, among other rescues - and rely on donations to ensure these animals regain their health. AAU is also working on the ground in India to change the perception of these animals in that country. It is difficult work and they bring hope to so many animals that have been abused, thrown away, or have fallen ill with no one to provide aid. We have donated a few times and find they are responsive and value our involvement. They also encourage volunteers and visitors to come and see their operation in Udaipur, which I am tempted to do as I find their work very compelling & lifesaving.
