Christmas as always was a struggle but with the help of angel in action my son has the best Christmas ever. When I arrived to pick up his gifts I was greeted with smiles and friendly people. There little shop is amazing and I was able to purchase another awesome gift for him. To my angel thank you so much for putting a smile on my son's face and for helping me make Christmas happen. I would recommend this amazing nonprofit to anyone struggling to buy clothes for there kids. Thank you all again

What i have to say about Angels in action RI that if it wasn't for them my children would have never had a Christmas. I have known Deb since I was a child. Fast forward to now I work as a nurse Case manage and my families have utilized Angel in action a bunch of times. It’s nice for families to be able to purchase name brand clothes and sneakers at a discount price. Her Christmas adopt a family program has also been beyond helpful for working families that truly can’t afford a nice family. I have donated time wrapping gifts/books at a book store to raise money, I have also donated money towards Christmas and been on the giving end to those families in need. It’s important to know that Collected toys and money always go to working families. Deb and her team of volunteers are always working hard. I’m honored to know and seen 1st hand that smiles they make in our small

I have assisted as a volunteer when I can for the past 5 years or so. I have never seen someone more dedicated to helping her community that Deb at Angel In Action! She is truly an Angel to our community! Deb organizes adopt a child programs during Christmas, helping hundreds of kids a year, organizes food baskets for holidays, helps families with clothing and school supplies. I have never seen her turn anyone away and I have seen her take from her own pocket when Angel In Action couldn’t help for some reason.

Hi There. I've known Deb for a few years now. She is a kind, caring. Compassionate, and Empathetic Woman. I am a recipient of her help along with her volunteers.1 year My husband and I were in need of a clothes dryer. We could not afford one. Deb went out of her way to find one for us. She also helped me make 1 of husband's last wishes come true. He always wanted a man cave. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer which metastasized to all over his liver. My husband Gary was forced to take early retirement and that decreased our income drastically. My husband Gary passed away in May of 2021. I am forever grateful that Deb and her organization could help me make his wish come true. We've also received Thanksgiving baskets and Deb and her organization have provided Christmas gifts for our grandchildren with her Christmas adopt a child program. She and her husband have also given us food. Deb and Angel in action help hardworking families that are in need due to them not meeting the guidelines for extra help. Debra Shipley Roffo is truly a wonder woman. Her non-profit, Angel in Action does so much good for people who are struggling but not eligible for benefits. She has a small core of helpers but, she is the one who does the work running the thrift shop, fundraising, and finding resources for those in need who have no place to go for help.
This non-profit goes out of the way to help all needs of our community. The dedication and care offered is such an asset. I love have a local option that offers a direct impact on our environment! .
I had a fire in my house, Christmas of 2019. My family had only the miss matched pajamas on no shoes . Deb left her xmas dinner and rushed to the closet to cloth me and My family. She also helped with a fundraiser to help get us back on our feet. Deb is absolutely amazing she is caring selfless and humble. I could never repay her for her kindness and compassion.

I have donated to Angel in Action for several years. They provide so much for those in need in our community. I found this organization on Facebook when I was looking for volunteer hours with my high school student. What drew me to work with Angel in Action is Deb's goal to assist people who don't qualify or receive Federal Assistance but just need something to get through a rough patch. When we were a young new family and lost an income, we didn't qualify for Fed Assistance by only a few hundred dollars a year and was in that exact position years ago, so I can relate to the demographic she's trying to help. They don't get a lot of media attention because it's a one woman show and she can only do so much. Truly an inspiring example of one person wanting to make a difference in the world and making it a reality.

This is the first organization I have seen in RI that honestly helps those who work hard but still fall on hard times - not those who wait around for a free ride. Debbie is so organized and ensures that kids are not missed at Christmas, are able to go back to school in trendy, stylish, current clothing and not be teased, helps families have a wonderful meal at Thanksgiving and assists others with special requirements. I love that the working "needy" are helped when they are usually overlooked by society and social services. I have been volunteering with Angel In Action for approximately 2 years now. I’ve never been so impressed with with a nonprofit organization and the work they do. In my time helping we have helped get school supplies, haircuts, shoes and clothes for students to start the school year. We adoption over 100 children for Christmas and fulfilled their Christmas wishlists. Helped a local family after their house burned down on Christmas Day. And so much more! I’ve never met someone so dedicated to helping others, as Debra.

I found out about Angel In Action through a former coworker when one of her neighbors had a terrible fire and I was looking to donate some items to them. I have grown to adore Deb, the woman who runs it, and her program so much! I help out whenever I’m available-volunteering my time, baking, buying donations, anything I can do to help this amazing cause!
Angel in Action RI is an amazing organization run by an absolutely selfless woman who has dedicated her life to helping those in need. Deb Roffo, the President and founder of Angel in Action RI has continued her mother's example with random acts of kindness. Her goal is to make a difference in the community and those who may have fallen on hard times. Some of the events sponsored by this amazing organization include but are not limited to: Thanksgiving & Christmas adoptions and baskets, food drives, offers of gently used furniture for the needy, new shoes for young adults bullied in school and Angel's Closet which offers clothing to the needy. Whoever contacts their organization, AIA RI is willing to help out. Find a plumber for an elderly woman looking for some plumbing repairs in her home, no problem. Install a walkway for a disabled woman, no problem. Donate a scooter to a disabled man who was unable to leave his home, piece of cake. Purchase an iPad for a disabled young man. Well you get the idea! My husband and I have personally attended a Hometown BBQ fundraiser to purchase school supplies for underprivileged kids. Once the event was over, Deb phoned the local food panty and offered them the left over food. Of course, they could only take things that would last a few days so Deb wound up taking the remaining food stuffs to a Senior Center. I can't think of any organization who deserve the honor of being the #1 Non-Profit in RI more. I know Angel in Action RI gets my vote! How about you?
Angel in Action aptly named. Deb Roffo is an Angel to our neighborhoods. The compassion she shows to the youth and families in our area in wondrous! This is a picture of Deb at Kohl's buying name brand sneakers and tee shirts so her community teens feel as though they fit in with the rest of the student body. Teens are often shunned and bullied because they cannot afford name brands. This is just one example of Angels in Action helping the community who may not be as fortunate as some of us. This was a grant from The Coventry/West Greenwich Elks. We turned $850.00 into $1400 worth of clothing with sales, discounts and "Kohl's Bucks". Keep up the good work, Deb!

My family has fell on some rough times and Deb Roffo of Angel in Action has been there for us on more than one occasion. Getting high quality name brand sneakers in exchange for a small donation helped get through back to school season without going without other essentials. My Autistic teenage son that has sleep apnea was able to get an hospital bed from one of her donors and his quality of life has improved from his better sleep and reduced apnea episodes. For that I will forever be grateful.
Angel in action is truly a blessing from above. This year has been one of the worst for my family of 4, where still trying to pick up all the pieces, everything keeps crumbling around us and honestly without the help from them my child would have suffered and had nothing for school they helped with clothes shoes backpack school supplies and even a nice haircut, I owe them a lot my life is still not back together but where taking it one day at a time. Angel and action is probably one of the best organizations I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They help kids with back-to-school clothes and shoes to help prevent bullying, they help the working poor, Dave helped a man with terminal cancer take his family on a good by trip, and a number of other special things for people.
Angle in Action R.I. is a wonderful group led by Debra Shipley Roffo with a mission statement of “Support to those less fortunate”! Many charitable groups show up during the Holidays with gifts and food baskets for those families that have fallen on hard times and they also are greatly appreciated for their generosity. Angle in Action is there year-round, 24 / 7, with no gap in coverage as there is need year-round. I personally have had the honor of delivering Holiday baskets to families in need. The humble tear in the eye of these grateful families is heartwarming to say the least. This group of dedicated people are and always will be the foundation of generosity and genuine love for the least of our sisters and brothers.

I first heard of Angel in Action last year and was very impressed by what I read about their mission and inspiration. At Christmastime, they host an “adopt a child” which aims to provide local children with holiday gifts. I love that AIA recognizes that many children, from families who may not qualify for any type of “assistance” program, are still in need of help from their community and they aim to provide that help whenever possible. The sheer volume of what AIA and its founder, Debra, manages to do is why I’ve made it a priority to help them out whenever and however possible.
Angel In Action RI with the leadership of Deb Roffo and its great group of volunteers helps support children, adults and seniors who have experienced unforeseen life events.
Angel In Action RI raises funds in order to provide, necessary provisions to assist and support these individuals.
In 2018 Debra opened what she calls Angel's Closet, where she provides needed clothing for Children, teens, men and woman at discounted prices. This is where children and teens come to get designer close to fit in with their peers. Men and woman can shop to stay in the work place. People who have suffered a disaster can find household products, clothing, body products at no cost to them.
With Debra's great organizational skills and her volunteers at Angel In Action RI we provide Thanksgiving meals to those hardworking people in need.
At Christmas time the organization helps for-fill a child's dream by getting everything on a child's wish list. Many hard working parents cannot give their children Christmas presents and we make it possible.

I am so thankful for the help I received from Debra Shipley Roffo, Angel in Action, I am raising my 3 grandchildren on a fixed income and was having a hard time getting them ready for school this year. I got in touch with Debra and set up an appt for the twins to shop, Mariah was so happy to get brand new Adidas sneakers it was the brand she wanted but I couldn’t afford, she also got new socks and a couple of T-shirts, if not for Angel in Action she wouldn’t have had new sneakers for the first day of school and we know how mean other kids can be so this help made her first day back to school so much more pleasant ! This was my experience, but I have read many good things that Angels in Action have done for family’s in West Warwick, from helping fire victims with clothing,gift cards, motel rooms, to helping family’s with Christmas, I think Angel in Action is amazing!!
Angels in action has helped out my family and alot of my friends families also. Helping families make sure their children have clothing and sneakers. Also helps out with furniture if a family needs it and helps with some medical equipment for people that cant afford it.
Angel in Action RI serves a much needed relief for hard working families , and aims to give children an even chance to fit in and not be bullied at school. The volunteers go above and beyond every day. Every need is addressed with love, kindness and empathy by Deb and all volunteers. It is wonderful to be a part of such a caring and hardworking group. Angel In Action is a great non-profit that works hard to help those who make too much to qualify for aid through other organizations but are barely making it paycheck to paycheck. I have volunteered and benefited from Angel In Action. There was a point where I wasn’t working and my husband’s job cut hours. Unfortunately, we didn’t qualify for state aid. Angel In Action stepped in and help relieve our grocery bill right around the holidays. Even just that slightest help allowed us to pay bills I don’t know how else we would have. They are an amazing organization.

Angel In Action truly works to reach those that need it the most, working families having a medical emergency at the same time as school starts or having a car break down when the rent is due. Angel’s Closet, a part of Angel in Action, provides teens with a place to shop for brand name clothing and shoes at very low prices. My experience with Angel's in Action was wonderful. As a local DJ, I volunteered my time for a fundraiser that helped school age children get school clothes and supplies. As I stood on the stage playing my music and interacted with goers I watched as many firefighters and police officers competed on a mechanical bull for the cause and it amazed me on how many people could support such a wonderful cause. I had reached out to deb to volunteer my time because I know what it's like to be a child and struggle to have what I need for school. For what Deb and Angel's in action does for so many people is amazing. I truly wish there were more people like deb. Angel in Action is run by a wonderful, kindhearted women.
She helps people who have lost everything from a fire, needs specialized equipment clothing, sneakers, holiday food baskets, holiday gifts, and soliders that have been deployed etc..
She adopted over 100 children Christmas 2018 and her volunteers helped give them gifts they dreamed of.
This school year she had fundraisers so she could buy name brand sneakers for school children and clothing to help them from being bullied.
She has collected gowns and donated them to students in the community and girls in a residential group home.

I've contacted Deb at Angel in Action several times for families I knew that needed help at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Deb was wonderful in helping them out.
She also has helped some teens I know of with prom dresses. She donated 15 dresses for the girls to have a wonderful prom.

My family was in a true bind this Thanksgiving. I was out of work due to a reoccurance of breast cancer (3rd time) and had just had a double radical mastectomy. I had NO income coming in at all, just enough for the bills. Angel in Action came through for my family and I with a COMPLETE turkey dinner. Without the organization my family and I would have had our own Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
Angel in Action also helped a few families near and dear to me not only this season but last season as well!
It is great to finally have someone who is willing (and sees the need) to help the WORKING CLASS PEOPLE.

It’s always a great thing to help others but it’s just as important to help responseably. Hi .. Just wanted to take a moment to say How wonderful and Caring Deb and her Angels are. My husband and I have fallen on hard times. Our Clothes dryer had bit the dust. With, my Husband out of work due to him having Stage 4 colorectal cancer and having on going chemotherapy treatments, and his TDI benefits exhausted. We didn't have the funds to purchase another one. I was going back in forth to the laundromat for a little while but, that gets costly . Deb reached out to her Organization of Angels and She was able to find US a Clothes Dryer. Also, this past Thanksgiving We were blessed with a Beautiful Holiday Basket Filled With A Turkey , all the Fixings, and pie for Dessert too. I was able to meet Deb in person She truly is a really sweet Person. My husband and I are Blessed To have Deb And her Angels in our lives .They have made such a positive impact on our lives. I met Deb a few months ago when I was trying to donate through Facebook a pair of new steel toe boots. I wasn't looking to swap I wasn't looking to give it to a family who just was too lazy to go out and buy a new pair; or didn't feel like spending the extra money. I wanted to give it to someone who really could use it. Deb immediately contacted me and asked if I was willing to donate to angel in action. After speaking with Deb and realizing what she does, my family and I immediately knew we had to get involved. It's like Deb has a mission in life to help people in need. Despite her full-time job and personal life every time I text her or Facebook her to ask her a question she always answers me back immediately. She wears a ton of hats and is so organized about it. She really is a remarkable woman who has done an amazing job! My family and I are so happy that we are able to help Deb and all the other amazing angels on her team.
When my elderly uncle was discharged from the hospital, he was weak and alone, and not eating well. Living out-of-state, I was unable to help him at the time, and it was so frustrating. We were trying to arrange Meals on Wheels for him, but it wasn't happening. Deb personally visited with him numerous times, brought him food, and made arrangements for food for him until he was feeling stronger. (I think my sweet uncle fell in love!) Her kindness to my uncle was overwhelming. I am thankful for all that Deb does to help the people in her community. Angel in Action is an outstanding organization.
This organization has to be given a 5 star. The owner and founder is clearly an amazing lady who goes over and beyond her call of duty. Thank you Deb for helping those in thought times❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Angel in Action went above and beyond for my family. The very day my home burned down Debra reached out to my family personally. The firemen told me Red Cross would help us within 24 hours but they used the snow as an excuse to not contact me for almost 5 days. The snow was not a concern for Deb though because within hours she was personally reaching out to the community. She was all over social media and collecting donations all over Rhode Island. Her vast network of kind hearted and generous souls are the main reason my family was able to have clothes, toys, and food. Deb has truly helped us get back on our feet without her I’d be a scrambling mess. She also is the only one that has directed me to a community center that could help my husband and I get into a home faster for my kids. Deb and all those a part of Angel in Action, you have been a literal God send and my family and I can’t thank you enough.
Angel in Action saved us. Literally. We had a house fire and lost almost everything. My daughter at the time was 2 months old and my son was 6 years. She brought us so much to help us through our hard times and checked in on us so much it was incredible. She saved us. She made it easier to deal with. Even helped with a childcare place to take my daughter while I had to enter my old house and take out the last surviving items. Angel in action for sure

Deb is always willing to help any way she can when an individual, a family or a group have a need to be met. A true angel to those in need. It is an honor to help her in some small way to accomplish big things when the need arises! She has honored her mother in the best way possible.

I have had to swallow my pride and ask for help a couple of times, Deb and the Angels have gone up and beyond to help out in a jam. Sometimes it was just even an ear to listen to help figure out a solution. Thanks for being so great Angels of Rhode Island!
I have worked with Deb in her efforts to help those in need . Angles in Action is an organization that strives to be in touch with those in the community who are in need. Deb makes it a point to reach out to people who contact her as well as come to the aid of those in the process of need . Angles in Action is a leigtimate organization. Deb has such a huge heart! Her bubbling personality drew me to help her help others. She has touched so many members of the community with Angel iN Action and I feel lucky to be a small part of it.
Deb is the most compassionate person i know. The assistance she and organization provided at Thanksgiving and Christmas is unbelievable. And it continues daily.
Bake sales. Collecting prom dresses. Collecting hooded sweatshirts with a brand name and sneakers for the less fortunate and the list just goes on.
Angel in Action RI is a nonprofit Debra started in order to help people who encounter problems such as sickness, loss of job, house fires, etc. — usually working people who need a hand because they usually don’t qualify for public assistance. I first became acquainted with Angel in Action RI through its Facebook page, and I was very impressed with Debra’s passion and drive to find out what people need and then find a way to obtain and deliver it to them, whether it be food, baby formula, clothes, and so much more. I decided that this was the type of nonprofit I would be proud to support and was happy to help out with a contribution towards Christmas food baskets. More recently, I joined other volunteers baking and selling goodies at a bake sale. It’s a great feeling — people helping people through acts of kindness!
Angels in Action RI was founded by Debra. I have only met her once whenn she came to my house for donations for a family displaced by fire. Her energy, and high spirited compassion and friendliness makes you feel like you have known her forever. Debra works tirelessly to help anyone, anytime, day or night, for a variety of reasons.. it doesn't matter if it's a homeless person, a fire victim, teens who can't afford prom dresses, furniture, clothes, etc.
