As a board member, I am happy to endorse Angel Heart Pajama Project and its mission to provide new pajamas and books to children in need living in foster care or homeless shelters. Since 2013 dedicated board members and trusted volunteers have given more than 35,000 children a new pair of pajamas and a new book to call their own. To encourage a love for reading, Little Free Libraries are now being placed in neighborhoods served by Angel Heart. It is so special to see the happy faces of all the children and foster families who benefit from a bedtime story and a good night’s sleep. Angel Heart is one of my favorite charities I wholeheartedly support!
Angel Heart touched my heart 2 years ago. I volunteer and serve on the board. We really make a difference by providing new pjs and books to children in crisis. Sometimes the children are transferred. The pjs and books we provide might be the only possessions they can take with them.
I work with GAP Ministries in Tucson. We are a foster care agency, we average 85 kids in our care and serve 45 foster families. We have be blessed for many years by the loving hearts and hands at ANGLE HEART Pajama Project. Each Christmas we receive a pair of PJs and a book for every kiddo in our care and foster families. Each one is bagged with the Child's name on it and includes a pair of PJs and a book. When I pick them up it is such a joy to see have happy faces of all the volunteers that serve this wonderful origination. They make you feel like family. Thank you Marty and Marie for all that you do for the Foster Kids in Tucson.
Angel Heart Pajama Project supports over 70 agencies in Tucson and neighboring communities in Green Valley and Nogales areas. With their help children receive new pajamas and books. Recently they also began to offer literacy classes to support families who are foster care givers. AHPP is full of heart and caring for our children who are experiencing difficult times.
Angel Heart Pajama Project is a very wonderful and worthwhile non profit organization. It has been in existence since 2013 and begin service needy children with pajamas and books in one Foster Care Agency. Today just 6 short years later Angel Heart works with over 72 agencies who serve children who are abandoned, abused, seriously ill, in foster care, homeless shelters or who are living in poverty. Angel Heart has gifted over 22,000 pairs of pajamas and books to needy children throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona. This small 501 c 3 has also established a children's library in The Tucson Children's Clinic for children who are disabled in any way or who are seriously ill. Each quarter Angel Heart donated books in both English and Spanish for children who are at the Clinic. They are also able to take a book home each time they are there.
Angel Heart has made a significant difference in the lives of children. When they are picked up by Police, Child Protective Services, because of domestic violence and arrive at a new unfamiliar location for care and shelter they receive a nicely wrapped pair of pajamas and a book. Angel Heart wants children to know that no matter how difficult of a circumstance they are in they are loved, special and there is hope.
Angel Heart Pajama Project is one of the most outstanding organization supporting needy children.
The mission behind this organization is amazing! The history of the founders, their passion and drive, shows great perseverance and persistence. Their desire to continue growing is inspiring.
I am so impressed by the commitment Angel Heart Pajama Project has to provide comfort to children who are in need. Not only do they provide pajamas so they can sleep comfortably but also a book. Reading or being read to before bedtime is such a wonderful way to end the day especially if it has been stressful. They may outgrow the pajamas but a book of their own is something they will treasure for a lifetime. Angel Heart Pajama Project are real life angels in our community and we are fortunate to have them here in our city.
Angel Heart Pajama Project has put a smile on the faces of 13,000 children. Angel Heart Pajama Project vision and mission is an example of action and commitment to the children in the community.
What an amazing blessing it is to give of your heart freely to a child.
This is a wonderful organization which not only provides children with a necessity of clothing, but to give them something to comfort and warm their soul as well... a book.
The people involved in this organization have such caring, selfless hearts and it is evident in the work they do through this work to help children in the community feel a little comfort.
This is an awesome charity to serve. Just hearing the stories of the children is need is heartbreaking and knowing that I can help ease their pain by giving them a beautifully wrapped pair of new pajamas and an age appropriate book makes the work totally worthwhile! Last year one of the charities picking up packages of books and PJs asked for a few extra. I asked if they had children brought in on Christmas Eve and she replied, "We get children removed from their parents every day of the year including Christmas." I can even imagine that child's heartbreak and so if I can help a little bit to ease their heartbreak I am all there! I have also met wonderful women who also volunteer. It make the work we do fun!
My children and I love to go to the Barnes and Nobles Angel Heart Pajama events. They always have a lot of fun seeing the different characters, and there are lots of fun crafts like cupcake decorating, glitter tattoos, and literacy activities. Angel Heart Pajama Project is a wonderful organization run by two sisters who are carrying on their mother's vision of every child going to bed in a pair of warm pajamas and with a book to read. What could be better? We have donated books and pajamas each year for Christmas. We love the hard working volunteers at AHPP!
My grandmother has volunteered for Angel Heart Pajama Project and comes back with the most touching stories! This organization is an incredible example of how three women that care about helping children, took the first step forward, and now have left an immense positive impact in children's lives. Thank you for what you do in Tucson, Arizona and other communities!
I have been an involved volunteer and active board member and for the last 5 years I've seen so many children that experience the feeling that someone cares. That is the biggest reward and return that Angel Heart pajama volunteers will share. This project is so meaningful and rewarding.

The work we do with Angel Heart Pajama Project is so rewarding. Since 2013 this organization has provided over 13,000 new pajamas and books to children in need.
I have volunteered and helped Angel heart Pajama Project for the past few years. I knew the mother of Matty Croissant and Maria Patterson, and was impressed by the vision they had for this organization,I have helped deliver book to many organizations in Green Valley and far south to places such as Amado and Arivaca. Included in these places are food banks such as the Green Valley and Amado Food Bank. I have also helped in pajama and book drives and events at Barnes and Noble. I have made contributions financially as well and purchased shelves for their work area in Tucson. I am a former teacher and am a strong advocated for literacy and building communities which are central to their organization.
