The Angaza Project is doing amazing work. Empowering young women and girls worldwide. Girls and women’s empowerment is so crucial to the future of our world. Teaching young women to be leaders, independent and believe in themselves to make change theirs, and the lives of others. Teaching that we, women, are capable of anything we set your mind to. We all want this for our children and this is Exactly what the project is doing! I’ve assisted as an advisor for this nonprofit and am honored to be a part of it. I’ve volunteered several times in Kenya and know that this nonprofit is not only needed, but changing the minds and lives of young people in positive way. #girlpower!

The Angaza Project partners with and develops local leaders across cultures to positively influence girls and young women. Through education, resources, and relationships, The Angaza Project is actively changing the lives of future leaders around the world. I was personally privileged to partner with their work in Kenya by connecting the organization with their Girl's Empowerment Teacher.

The Angaza Project does wonderful work with girls in Kibera, Kenya and in Hidalgo,Mexico. In Kibera , “The Shining Scholar’s Sponsorship Program” allows and empowers these young ladies to be educated and learn a skill that will help them earn a living once they are done with school. We’ve had the privilege to sponsor Lavendar who is in her last year of school. We’ve exchanged photos and letters with her through the loving people of Angaza. This nonprofit is doing GREAT work to help and guide these vulnerable girls.

My family has been very impressed with The Angaza Project, for several reasons.
We have seen where the Angaza team has upheld their promises & have proven their integrity, as a nonprofit organization. We thoroughly enjoy getting updates from the girls, that we sponsor. The updates are very frequent & we enjoy that. We are even informed when members of the Angaza team will be going to visit & we are able to send care packages to the girls. The photos & letters from the girls, are priceless. -C. Deal

I have been involved with the ladies running the Angaza Project for a couple of years now. I can honestly say that each one does what they do for the girls they are serving and helping and not for any personal reasons. If you are looking to help the women empowerment movement further than your back yard, look no further! The ladies are also super transparent with everything they do.

I am sponsoring a student through the ANGAZA Project and I am well pleased with how I am kept informed about my student, how she is doing in school, and if she attends the extra life lessons offered. They are wonderful about keeping me updated on how my student is doing and when possible, letters are sent between us. They provide necessities for these girls and are genuinely concerned about how they do academically and personally. I believe the ANGAZA Project is truly instrumental in helping these girls escape from the dangers where they live and give them a chance at a successful life.

I have supported this organization from the start and was at the table when the final plans came together! I was over in Kenya with the Founder on a trip to experience the work being done before it became officially filed in the United States. I saw the work being done in the community that had already been happening since 2013, creating community relationships and trust and then opening up services for women. Careful planning was done on the front end to really learn the community before determining, with the community, what the needs really were. The Girls and Women's Empowerment classes are amazing, the skills classes are helping to change futures, and the education sponsorship program is a wonderful opportunity for high school girls. Up to grade 8 is taken care of by the government, however, once she hits high school, there are fees and other requirements, even at the very few government high schools that do exist, they sponsor at 7 different High Schools throughout Kibera. Rumor has it that there is amazing growth on the horizon! The work in Mexico is also something to be recognized. The support given to the Refuge for women makes a difference in the doors staying open to the ladies who make it to the steps. Often with nothing in their hands, the support Angaza provides makes it work out. Thank you for letting me be part of this great work in two locations and I look forward to more service trips in the future! Thank you!

I was introduced to Angaza last year by a church member who serves on their board. What a blessing it has been to my husband and myself to sponsor a young lady in Kenya, and to be given the opportunity to get to know her through letters, photos and videos. We enjoy putting together quarterly care packages which the amazing staff at the Angaza Project deliver to her personally. I never would have thought that I could make such a difference in someone's life for only $25 per month. Now our sponsored young lady has the opportunity to attend school, learn employable skills, and receive meals and supplies to sustain her. The folks at Angaza have been truly amazing to the ladies they serve and their sponsors as well!

I absolutely love what we do around the world! Serving women in Kenya and Mexico to shine through education and economic opportunities makes an impact!! I have seen, first hand, the positive impact the workshops and skills classes have for these ladies and it leads to improved quality of life! The organization is currently making relationships with companies in both locations to hire the ladies once they finish and I’m hearing about possible college level education too! Amazing teamwork with supporters and the community leaders! I am proud to be part of it

I have been with the organization since the very beginning and have watched it grow! The team of volunteers that surround the organization and support the mission are truly amazing people! Each of them has a heart for the service areas and seeing women shine through economic and education opportunities. Something so special about the board of directors (all volunteers, by the way) is that the board is extremely diverse on many levels. Diversifying the board has led to better governance. The board varies with cultural background, gender, education, and professional or life experiences. This allows the organization to better serve their clients. The board was carefully constructed over time with each member bringing different strengths to the table.

Super awesome program and empowering women and girls to break a cycle! They have an awesome sponsorship program that not only provides the needs to be successful in the classroom but also outside of the classroom! Win, win all around!
