Mission: Promote the safety and well-being of children and families residing in deer lodge, granite and powell counties.
Programs: The organization provides the following programs to communities in deer lodge, powell and granite counties of montana: guardian ad litem: provides advocacy services in the court system for abused, neglected and/or abandoned children. Parenting classes: classes teach effective discipline skills while helping parents develop more positive communication between them and their children. Partnership programs: include, in-home visitations by family development specialists; parent support groups to help with the day-to-day strains of parenting; and supervised visitations for families whose children have been removed from the home. Stress and anger management classes: to assist people to change patterns of behavior that are inappropriate, counter productive and/or dangerous to themselves or others. Boys and girls club: a local club affiliated with the national boys and girls club. The program provides homework help, after school programs, educational enhancement activities, summer youth programs and youth quest, a program targeted toward your who have a high risk of being involved with the juvenile justice system.
