Mission: Sustaining connections amongst members of the america's camp community, which includes individuals who lost a parent and participated in the america's camp week-long sleep away experience.
Programs: America's camp was formed on january 24, 2003 to provide a one-week sleep away for as many as 300 boys and girls, between the ages of 7 and 14, who lost a parent in the attack of america on september 11, 2001. Campers may also include children of uniformed law-enforcement and fire-department personnel killed in the line of duty, and children who lost a parent and are coping with grief. In 2011 the foundation began winding down its operations as a camp. In 2012 and 2013 the foundation focused on sustaining connections amongst america's camp alumni by hosting reunions and providing limited special programs such as social media networking.
