Mission: The mission of americans for a vibrant palestinian economy ("avpe") is to link american and palestinian communities, particularly the business and education sectors, to promote social welfare within the palestinian community. By providing support to the disadvantaged businesses in the palestinian community, avpe promotes positive, local, economic development in communities that struggle to maintain vibrant economies due to the israeli occupation and other burdens.
Programs: To recruit and screen palestinian businesses that are interested in doing business with americans. This process includes an application, interviews, and other sources of information. Once it has been determined that the palestinian organization is ready to do business with americans, avpe decides whether to add it to the portfolio of sponsored palestinian entities. After being approved, avpe facilitates finding american business relationships through their website and personal networks. Avpe also uses their website to provide registered accredited investors a screened list of palestinian investment opportunities and to provide the public with links to existing educational information about related investment opportunities.
