AWHC is a trusted, ethical, intelligent and strategic leader in the fight to keep our American wild horses and burros wild and free. They work tirelessly to educate the public and government(s) about the plight of our wild ones and how to best honor their history and preserve their freedoms with respect and humane care. They offer real solutions that will work for all involved, including the animals, and just need increased public support to continue the battles with litigation at the highest levels, scientific research, as well as boots on the ground with the horses and burros themselves. AWHC is an effective and proven leader in this space and I am so proud to be a donor, volunteer and all-around supporter of this great non-profit doing incredible work.

I have been a volunteer ambassador for American horse conservation for about two years. I see the amazing things that this organization is trying to do for both wild horses and burros. American wild horse conservation is educating the public about the importance of keeping our wild horses and Burro families together, alive, healthy and FREE!! American Wild Horse Campaign have scientific proven evidence to keep horses and burros in the wild.
Scientific evidence supports our cause and that the Mustangs and burros in the wild actually help conserve our public lands, water and air from destruction.

I've been working with AWHC for the past two years as a Volunteer Advocate. I have been continually impressed by the depth of the research and knowledge the team members have on the current wild horse and burro population in the US. From the Adoption Incentive Program, planned roundups, herd management with fertility control, and current condition of the horses and burros in Herd Management Areas across the west. They are very well managed and have a multi dimensional strategy to educate, raise awareness and affect legislation to further manage and support wild horses and burros in a more humane way. They work tirelessly with government officials; both federal and local, other non-profits and the public. I'm honored to be a part of such a professional group dedicated to raising awareness and support to protect and advocate for the wild horse and burro population in the US.

I have been a member of other nonprofit groups, both as a volunteer and as a board member. I have found that the great passion of the members and leadership is enhanced by the extremely strong strategic leadership. It is a pleasure to attend meetings. The strategy is clear, the data and the science behind the rationale to protect the horses are supported, results are shared and the momentum is strong. Bonded together by our love of wild horses, the advocacy this group shares is just awesome.

Dedicated group of people devoted to saving and protecting our national treasure, wild horses. This group is focused on how to save our wild horses from cruel and inhumane helicopter round up and prefers to focus on managing herds using proven safe methods of birth control. They also protect burros.

I am a proud supporter and Volunteer Ambassador for the AWHC for over 3 years. They have a very in- depth website that is thoroughly educational and up to date with current events. We are continually informed about the BLM plans on the HMA's, policies, congressional bills, and vital needs of the horses and burros. AWHC is honest and puts donor money where it is most needed to fight for humane changes and protection for the health and welfare of these beautiful animals. I have met some of the administrators and staff and find them to be very dedicated, sincere and hard working.

The American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign consists of a small group of very dedicated individuals that are taking a practical, multi-pronged approach to protecting wild horses and burros. Attorneys in the group work to enforce existing policies and enact legislation to protect horses on the range and in government holding facilities. The group raises public awareness of the plight of horses and burros through social media, high profile rallies and press events in key western states and gather signatures in support of their advocacy work. They're the only group who is truly 'managing' wild horses in the wild with their PZP darting fertility control program which can save tax payers millions of dollars. They've recently launched the American Wild Horse Conservancy program to preserve and increase habitats for the protection of wild herds.

It's amazing work that's having an actual impact on helping to keep our wild herds protected and free.

This organization, dedicated to the protection of horses and burros, who have served humanity for millennia, is extraordinary.

Despite the forces opposing them, the entire staff at AWHC remains steadfast, courageous and professional in their work to ensure that there are wild horses and burros left in America.

I know of very few non profits who are as dedicated and exemplify such leadership and outstanding foresight.

American Wild Horse Campaign has been at the forefront of advocacy, education, litigation for decades.
They are on the ground - documenting round ups, administering birth control on the range, and constantly informing the public.

AWHC is fiercely protecting our beleaguered wild horses on & off the range. Please support their work.

AWHC is an important nonprofit. They have shown that non invasive methods of fertility control works. They are on the ground as witness to the BLM massive, unscientific and inhumane roundups. There is no other group, that I know of, like them. They have zoom meetings with updates to keep us informed.

The Director and staff of American Wild Horse Campaign not only work tirelessly for the safety and lives of American wild horses and burros in danger of total annihilation, but also take a powerful and intimate concern for the people who support the cause. Never self promoting and quiet about the endless work they do, there are few organizations with a staff as small as AWHC that accomplishes as much as they do on a national scale. They're very impressive.

For 10 or more years, as a grassroots taxpayer who loves our American wild horses and burros and wants them to remain on our federal Western lands, I have appreciated the diligence and acuity of American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign. They have filed suits, held rallies, started letter-writing campaigns, encouraged our field knowledge through their on-site inspections of round-ups by the BLM, hired lobbyists, and encouraged our individual efforts at lobbying Congress and State legislators. They have developed a staff profile including a lawyer and other information and lobbying specialists to assist our joint efforts to carryout action plans. I see them as very detail-oriented, careful in the actions they take, and as leaders in an effort to work not only with we grassroots activists, but also other citizen-based groups to fulfill a unified effort toward problem-solving. They are professionals as they approach the issues of humane management of the mustangs and burros and through their careful work supported by caring American taxpayers and allied lobbying groups, we are making progress on the issue. This is the fact that makes the difference; American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign is building a solid reputation for consistent and solid action on informing decisionmakers of alternative strategies to provide America's wild horses and burros with humane protection of their lifeway, which is our highest priority and desired fulfillment of existing law.

This is the best organization I know of in its field of endeavor.

AWHC provides good communication with donors, government and private agencies, partner organizations, and the general public. This includes education and documentation re: current problems and threats to American wild horses and burros; mitigation-related research and reporting; and policy-related advice to controlling agencies. Of course the organization also reports to its donors and others the results it achieves in protecting these iconic animals and raising awareness about them.

AWHC conveys the urgency of their mission in an informative, friendly, and respectful way, without shouting. The organization's way of working is practical and strategic. They get things done.

I have given over $1000 to this group, but I regret it. I actually thought they cared about the mustangs, but increasingly, their emails (and agenda) target livestock and ranching. UC Davis and many other authorities have written about how cattle improve the environment when correctly grazed. I own many horses (mostly rescued) and I also raise cattle. We live in HARMONY with the environment. WHY does the AWHC spend my donation dollars attacking US instead of fighting for the mustangs? There is plenty of room for BOTH! I wish I could continue to support this group, because the mustangs do need protection. That's why it's obscene to see my donation dollars wasted on attacking the wrong parties. My emails to the AWHC have gone unanswered. I hope this review will help them see that their strategy is LOSING support among their rural benefactors.

I don't know why this organization has no reviews, but they're heroes. They are the only organization I know of who has been with the American Wild Horses through it all, even as the situation becomes more and more dire. I wish they had more publicity.
