public, society benefit programs, general/other: the international festival of raleigh is an annual celebration of dance, food, and music from around the globe. This event brings ethnic groups together to share traditions and celebrate their unique differences. It also allows native north carolinians the ability to visit the world in their own backyard. Tv stations and festival organization reports there were ~62,000 visitors in this 2. 5 days event. Ata-nc participated in cultural exhibit, sidewalk cafe, main stage and world bazaar venues.

public, society benefit programs, general/other: nazim hikmet poetry festival is being organized by ata-nc and hosted by the town of cary. This open to global public festival brings in poems from around the world, and this year more than 2000 submissions were received. The poetry competition organized as part of the festival. A poetry workshop was hosted. During the 1 day event marking end of the contest ~200 visitors were present. A chap book containing winner and honorable mention poems was published.

public, society benefit programs, general/other: children's day festival is being organized by ata-nc and hosted by the town of cary as an annual event. On this second year, there were 12 children groups to showcase their art & work and approximately 500 people visited. Children had chance to see and practice different art-work forms in a multi culture environment.

public, society benefit programs, general/other: wral raleigh christmas parade and town of cary christmas parade. We are full participant of these events every year. We showcase traditional turkish costumes, folk dances and turkish music during the parades. (2 separate events, ~60000 viewers)
