Causes: Health, Surgical Specialties Research
Mission: The society was established to promote the highest standards in the clinical practice, education, and research in podiatric surgery.
Programs: Asps surgical conference: a comprehensive, two-day conference offering didactic and hands-on surgical education. Topics included hammertoe techniques, 1st mpj implants, lapidus techniques, midfoot fusions, calcaneal osteotomies, and more. The two-day conference affords continuing education credit hours for applicable conference attendees. The association received $52,500 of sponsorships for the conference which is included in contribution income on page 9 of the 990.
asps surgical webinar series: free monthly surgical webinars hosted by asps member dpms. The live webinar is open to all podiatrist, residents and students; webinar recordings are made available to asps members only on the asps website. The association received $3,000 of sponsorships for the webinars which is included in contribution income on page 9 of the 990.
asps student chapter program: asps student chapters serve to reinforce surgical education and training at the student level with the aid of asps-sponsored hands-on workshops and lectures, aiding in the development of a cohesive surgical skill set on the student level.
