Mission: To encourage, by public contribution, support of worthwhile educational and charitable projects of interest and benefit to devotees of the american quarter horse. To own, operate, and maintain the american quarter horse hall of fame and museum in order to preserve and interpret the history and modern uses of the breed through educational programs. To offer scholarship support for selected members of the american quarter horse youth association and students pursuing education related to american quarter horse racing. To offer financial support for equine research.

The American Quarter Horse Foundation provides funds for Equine Research to various universities and research groups to enable to continued search for equine diseases and conditions.
The foundation also provides funding for programs enabling the disabled to ride, helping with cognitive function, balance and mental health, through the America's Horse Cares program.
In addition, the foundation awards scholarships to worthy youth to assist with their college education.
