Mission: Amei's mission is to be a valued and respected source of support in promoting closer ties between the united states and the middle east through educational, cultural, and business-related projects and partnerships. We believe these are valuable forms of diplomacy.
Programs: The american middle east institute's 9th annual business conference, a health and energy update forum, took place on october 18, 2016, in pittsburgh, pa. The high level gathering of middle east ministries and ambassadors and american decision makers representing leading global companies and organizations that are focused on growing business opportunities between the united states and the countries of the middle east & north africa. The conference focused on understanding emerging trends in health and technology, including the latest treatment for chronic diseases, telemedicine, best practices in hospital management, biotechnology and doing business in the middle east. The evening concluded at carnegie music hall with a lecture by television journalist dan rather.
the special events program (water, peace, and prosperity in the middle east) took place on may 10, 2016 in pittsburgh, pennsylvania. The presentation included leading water policy experts from the middle east who have developed productive partnerships and solutions to water scarcity.
