Mission: The ALA of Tennessee is a constituent of the nationwide American Lung Association, the oldest voluntary health agency in the country. Our mission is to prevent lung disease and to promote lung health. Our vision is a world free of lung disease. Governed by a board of volunteer directors and supported by volunteers statewide we seek to help individuals prevent lung disease for themselves and their families, to protect the air quality for all Tennesseans, and to seek improved treatments and cures for lung diseases.
