Mission: The organization was created with a mission to support activities and organizations that promote the economic, social and environmental well-being of california's great central valley (the valley). The organization was created as a regional intermediary with a broad mandate to engage in a number of strategies that would increase the long term sustainability of the valley. The work of the organization has evolved and grown, as has the region it serves. The organization has consistently worked to remove the barriers between people, ideas and plans; and to encourage leaders to plan comprehensively and with an understanding of the importance of building a foundation on a regional level. Over the years, the work of the organization has included programs in: land use planning, agricultural land preservation, energy conservation, digital literacy and leadership development and training on multiple levels.
Programs: Technical assistance and facilitation to improve services and the social and economic development, quality of life and opportunities available for california's central valley.
