I am a single mother and I live 30 miles from the city of the University I attended. This foundation helped me in immensely with school and travel expenses. I am very grateful for the opportunities afforded to me through this scholarship. Thank you thank you from a Navajo in New Mexico.
As a Native American student, AIS has helped me reach my educational goals through generous donors and sponsors. Their donations and sponsorship is an investment in the future of American Indians by way of educational scholarships.
Good evening, AIS has helped along the way in my Bachelors program. I am very appreciative of the support. I like the question asked about AIS achieving my dream. At this point of continuing my graduate degree in mental health. AIS has not fulfilled my dream into my graduate program. It is a bummer. I believe this will be turned around in the near future, where funding can be provided for graduate students. I believe it will happen. Thank you. Continue to stay safe during the pandemic experience. God bless.
American Indian Services has provided continual financial support for my dream of becoming a computer scientist! As a first gen student, support myself while balancing my studies is overwhelming. However, AIS scholarships relieve this burden, allowing me to focus on studies. With AIS support, I'm on the the dean's list, and have interned for Amazon Web Services and Oracle!
AIS offered me a scholarship during my time in undergrad. As a Native American woman, I grew up being raised by a single mother with very little resources. My education was hard fought for and without the financial support of AIS, I may not have been as successful in reaching my goals of becoming a Nurse Practitioner and serving other members of the Ho-Chunk nation. Thank you, American Indian Services.
Great way to get funding for school. I was the first in my immediate family to go to college and I couldn’t have graduated without your support ❤️
AIS helped fund my undergraduate degree. With my school being paid for, I was able to focus on my studies and graduate Magna Cum Laude! Graduating with top score gave me the advantage to negotiate exactly what I wanted for my first job. I have been a Pediatric oncology nurse for over 15 years and know that I am helping not only the pediatric patients but also their families. This organization has helped me to fill my need to help other which I will continue to do wherever I am located at. Thank you
American Indian Services is an excellent organization that empowers Native American students to achieve higher education. Throughout my four years as an undergraduate student in engineering at Arizona State University, I earned scholarships from American Indian Services that enabled me to continue my education without financial burdens. I would not have been able to complete my educational journey without the help of American Indian Services.
Most receptionists are very kind and empathetic. I appreciate them very much. Although, it has been my experience that some are unaware of the full benefits of the Native American tribe members across the US. Some can be reluctant or even rude when we inquire about certain services we are accustomed to and are free for us. Also....to my dismay I want to say that it's been my experience to hear racist remarks and I have told tribal officers about those employees that accepted a job on the reserve. If they dont like us they should quit!
American Indian Services is fantastic! They have helped me with my college tuition for a couple of semesters, and I don't know what I would do them. The staff is amiable and helpful. If there is a question they can't answer, they always find someone who can help. They also work hard to work with whatever situation you are in.
I decided to return to school after nearly a 15-year absence to study business. AIS was essential to assist me with my tuition costs over a two-year period and graduate with no additional student loan debt. I now have my undergraduate in Business Management and several prospective employers looking to hire me for my education and experience.

We’re very sorry to hear that you’ve encountered difficulties with past receptionists. We currently have a wonderful office assistant who is a member of the Ute tribe and we have several other Native American staff who are lovely, and strive everyday to create a friendly environment at our office. If there’s anything else we can do to make our services better please let us know by sending us an email and we’ll do what we can to address it.
