Mission: American Indian Cultural Center of Amarillo, founded in 2000, grew out of the need for a place: 1) for Native Americans to meet, 2)for groups interested in Native American traditions and customs to visit, 3)to display Native American arts and crafts, 4)and to assist Native American elders and disabled persons to learn and earn a supplemental income 5)to assist youth in educational programs and higher education.
