Programs: The aicmc maintains the cultural identity of the southern sierra miwok nation through education, ancestral ceremonies and activities. During the month of may the southern sierra miwok nation holds an annual pow-wow to provide education, traditional dancing and networking. In august a spritual camp using native american facilities maintained by the national park service is held. This includes a walk of ancestral trade routes over the sierra-nevada mountains from yosemite valley to mono lake. The southern sierrra miwok nation is also constructing a traditional wahhoga in yosemite.
the aicmc administers a grant for the county of mariposa providing a family healing center for native americans. The grant pays for the staff, operating expenses and administration.
as a part of the preservation and protection of the southern sierra miwok nation culture and archeological sensitive areas, the aicmc provide trained monitoring services for construction projects in yosemite national park and mariposa county.
