The AIC is a great organization that provides valuable knowledge about immigration law to the public. They are constantly fighting for justice on behalf of the immigrant community with their staff of experienced researches, attorneys, and advocates.
Whenever clients ask me how they can contribute to the fight against government mistreatment of foreigners in our midst, I tell them to give to the American Immigration Council. AIC is on the forefront of litigation to protect their rights.
The American Immigration Council provides a great service to society through research, information, advocacy and litigation on immigration issues. As a researcher, writer and project developer in these areas regarding Mexico-US migration, I rely much on the AIC activities in my field of work.

I've been practicing immigration law for over 40 years and am a State Bar of California Certified Immigration Law Specialist.
Lately, not a week (or even a few day) go by without me checking the AIC website for updates in the quickly changing field of immigration law. The information featured on the site is very current and of great use in both the practice of law and immigration reform advocacy. When ever i do any public speaking AIC is the first place i go for an update on the law and the polictical, sociological, economic and historical impact of recent policy changes, court decisions, Congressional legislation - you name it. I highly recommend AIC to anyone who cares about U.S. immigration law reform and who want to support lawyers who tirelessly practice in this field - the civil rights issue of our day.
The American Immigration Council does amazing work through advocacy and practice advisory on cutting edge immigration issues. I am an immigration attorney practicing in Honolulu, far from the seats of power, and the work of the AIC helps bridge the distance between Hawaii and DC which makes me a better attorney and advocate not just for my clients, but all immigrants in my community. Those I've met who work at the Council are passionate, warm and smart, inspirational and accessible. It's an organization I'm happy to support.
As an immigration attorney, I am proud to say I have been able to support many individuals' American Dreams because American Immigration Council has given us tools and information about updated case law and cutting edge litigation strategies. Donating to AIC is the same as donating to the preservation of American values!
The American Immigration Council does great work on behalf of the American immigrant community and the immigration lawyers that represent them. From educating the public on changes in immigration law, to educating the immigration bar on how to best represent their clients, to obtaining hard-t0-get information from the government, even to spearheading lawsuits against the government when necessary, the AIC does so much.

Since I started working in the field of immigration, I have relied on the research and policy announcements published by AIC. Their work is invaluable, helping to keep professionals in the field of immigration au courant with current trends and events.
Phenomenal non-profit. Dedicated to the interests of foreign nationals. Tireless supporter. Excellent work. Fabulous advocate.
Well run organization with an important purpose. The AIC leverages every dollar donated to empower an army of dedicated community members to make a real difference in immigration law and policy.

AIC helps the public learn the "real" facts about the impact of our immigration laws and trends in their interpretation and actions by the immigration authorities. AIC helps by providing other attorneys resources to help them assist their clients, and also by reporting to the public about immigration topics. AIC helps eliminate stereotypes that are wrongly based or erroneous.
The American Immigration Council is my go-to organization for current immigration information. They provide great practice advisories and have lots of useful resources. Staff are energetic and knowledgeable.
The Council is *the* legal expert in the immigration space. Due to its relationship with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Council has access to the legal expertise and client base of more than 15,000 US immigration lawyers. The depth and breadth of their knowledge on immigration law is unparalleled. Unlike other nonprofits that deal with immigration law, the Council deals equally with removal and undocumented as well as employment based and legal immigration matters. Their American Heritage Awards highlight the contributions of immigrants in the US and their 5th grade writing contest encourages budding writers to engage in the immigration debate. The new executive director, Beth Werlin, is well placed to raise the profile of the Council and shift its revenue sources. She is a genius legal mind and litigator.
American Immigration council is a great organization. They stand up and fight for the marginalized. With the current administration and the agenda they seek to pursue, The council is not backing down and giving a voice for a vunerable demographic.
After the election in 2016, we began to research ngo's which focused on helping immigrants and refugees. We settled on AIC as a leader in this area and have found them highly responsive. In addition, their routine communications about what is going on in the immigrant arena are extremely useful and we routinely forward on to others much of what they send us. We plan to contribute again to this worthy organization and encourage others to as well. Jessie and Jim Kingston
This organization is on the forefront of immigration policy and litigation. The Council is my go to source for objective, smart facts and statistics on immigration
Great organization that is doing great litigation work in the immigration community. The organization is critical in ensuring immigrant rights.
As an immigration practitioner, I truly appreciate the sound research and guidance presented in the Council's practice advisories. The Council's affiliation with the American Immigration Lawyer's Association means that they are one of the few, if not only advocacy organizations, with direct insight on immigration issues faced by both businesses AND by individuals. They are uniquely positioned and do an excellent job.

The American Immigration Council serves a critical role in ensuring that accurate and helpful immigration information is available to the general public as well as immigrant representatives. AIC works on cutting edge legal issues that impact the immigrant community. The AIC educational outreach efforts ensure that immigration issues are humanized--these efforts are critical given the current debate on immigration reform and the need to create realistic and humane immigration laws.
The Council does great work--from the Legal Action Center to the Immigration Policy Center. It fights for the rights of immigrants and gets accurate information out the public. I've enjoyed collaborating with them in my own work.
The Council responded immediately to the dire situation of detained asylum seekers being held in Artesia by ICE with extremely limited rights, and no access to outside assistance (legal or otherwise). AIC quickly included this emergency issue at the top of their litigation meeting agenda in July of this year and then sheparded the development of a litigation strategy among the attendees. This quickly became a strong working group partnership among non-profits with law firm pro bono help. The result is a filed and pending affirmative lawsuit challenging the legality of the Artesia detention facility set up purposefully to deny asylum seekers their rights. The publicity surrounding the lawsuit has focused the country's attention on this violation of due process. But for AIC the lawsuit and the publicity would never have happened. I could not be prouder of AIC's achievement, but there is so much more work to do. AIC is rolling up its sleeves, ready to go!

AIC does great work to help both immigrants and their advocates to defend immigrants' rights. They also play an important and effective role in researching and presenting very effective and useful evidence and information that promotes the benefits that immigrants bring to our country and reasons to support positive immigration reform generally.
AIC fills a niche in the immigrant rights community by being an expert in due process and systemic reforms needed in the immigration justice system, knowing how to strategically litigate and being able to call upon the experience of a wide variety of immigration attorneys and their clients for real world information, thus becoming an effective advocate for change.
Further, their practice advisories to immigrants and immigration attorneys are easy to use, and extremely helpful by providing important information on complicated topics in an accessible way.
Best organization in the U.S. for accurate information and data on specific immigration policy proposals and impact litigation.

The American Immigration Council is the only immigration-focused organization in the U.S. dedicated to getting out the basic facts behind the policies to decision makers and the public, not just advocating its own positions. Not only that, but they also protect the public through litigation and honor America through foreign exchange programs.
I have been tremendously impressed with the American Immigration Council. Their leadership role on U.S. immigration law issues, their policy center, their litigation center and their work with middle school students across America have all helped to raise our understanding of why we need to be proud that America is a nation of immigrants. As an immigrant myself and now an attorney, I have been so impressed with their work that I have pledged $1 Million to support them and their work over the next 20 years. They are reliable, transparents and mission focused. One of the best non-profts ever!
I'm so proud of the work that the Council does on behalf of immigrants and the advocacy community in general. I'm blessed and honored to serve on its Board.

AIC maintains its position as a leader in dissecting and analyzing our very complex immigration laws for a public that includes immigration lawyers, judges, grassroots advocacy groups as well as members of the Congressional and Executive branches of our government at a price tag which says FREE! #Quality #Professional #Superb
I am honored and proud to serve on the Board of the AIC. It does important work brilliantly. It litigates to insure fairness and due process in the application of the US immigration laws. Its portrayals of the ongoing contribution of immigrants is inspiring. Its voluminous and constant guidance to immigration attorneys and to the public is incomparable.

AIC's work is truly commendable. The organization not only honors immigrants, it is a valuable resource to immigration attorneys seeking to make positive change in the field of immigration law. AIC's impact is far reaching including community outreach efforts, a critical J-1 program, and extraordinary legal action center.
The work of the American Immigration Council is extraordinary and inspiring. I willingly contribute to their foundation every year and am proud to support their work. Their honoring of Immigrants with American Immigration Achievement Awards inspires those of us who work in this field and it recognizes the important contributions that immigrants continue to make to this country. Their advocacy, policy papers, and educational resources on immigration matters is second to none. The legal action center also adds support and provides guidance on key legal issues. Finally, the international exchange center is a model program and serves as an excellent example to promote intercultural exchange. I wholeheartedly applaud the work of the American Immigration Council and am proud to be affiliated with them as an emeritus trustee. --Steve Thal
The American Immigration Council serves the important public service of educating the public and policymakers about the importance of immigration to the United States. In a debate filled with invective, half-truths and noise, the AIC provides factual, thoughtful and useful information. This not only helps professionals who work in the immigration field but also policy makers and others interested in current and future immigration policy.

AIC is an incredibly helpful organization for immigration attorneys, and it also honors immigrants and works to improve the public perception of immigrants.
AIC is an extraordinary organization that provides cogent, well-researched documents and information cutting through the rhetoric of the immigration debate. The AIC also administers an extremely professional exchange visitor program that is committed to legal compliance.
This organization has had great achievements in furthering the interests of immigrants and their contributions to the United States. They have honored famous new "Americans" in their benefits. They provide position papers to members of the intelligentsia of our Universities and Colleges. Attorneys and individuals have access to their brief banks. They have filed amicus briefs and class actions when there is an injustice in the immigration laws. They are not an arm of American Immigration Lawyers association. AILA does contribute money to them because the Council provides pro bono litigation and information for the benefit of all immigrants and those who represent immigrants. They are known as the "go to" people for any immigration information in DC. They have helped many people who would not have access to information that could benefit them.
AIC is a leech of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. They act like they are a separate organization but that is simply a legal fiction. They demand the chapters donate a large percentage of their yearly budgets to AIC, then hit up the AILA membership for more and never acknowledge the contributions those members were already forced to make through their chapters. At the annual conferences they always hold a "golf tournament" whereby members fork over $300.00 to play a round of golf, and give them free recordings of the sessions they missed (from the Annual Conference, recordings that are overpriced and not given free to regular AILA members). It’s all about money to pay their bloated salaries of their top staff. They have been a dismal failure at achieving immigration reform, but hey, if we only gave them more money that would change. Now AIC is in the "free vacation" business for their staffers, with an upcoming trip to Italy! AIC is a failure.
I rely on the information published by the American Immigration Council for my work. Their policy briefs and fact sheets make complicated research understandable, and their own research fills gaps that are always opening up in a fast-changing policy environment. Their blog provides a thoughtful, reality-based perspective on the immigration policy news of the day. Their work is essential to counter the misinformation that is always being disseminated by those who are opposed to making this country more welcoming towards immigrants.
It is an outstanding organization. It is a vital counter-voice to the anti-immigration activists who use fear and stereotypes to diffuse any intelligent discussion of the immigration crisis in this country. We need this organization to continue its work in moving the immigration debate forward if we are ever to create a solution to the critical situation so many immigrants, documented and undocumented, face on a daily basis.
The American Immigration Council is critical to those of us who advocate for immigrants. The research that is done and made available by AIC is invaluable. The staff has expertise in all areas of immigration law and is always willing to share their knowledge. The Exchange Visitor Program provides opportunities for foreign interns and trainees to have a meaningful cultural experience while working in the U.S.
This organization provides professional and intellectual leadership in regard to immigration issues. It is outstanding in its field/
I am an ardent immigration activist, and I read almost all the weekly immigration digests that American Immigration Council produces. They are the most reliable source of information for me. Activist groups don't tell the whole story, nor do they give a balanced view.
The American Immigration Council (formerly the American Immigration Law Foundation) has supported immigrants rights since its founding more than 20 years ago. AIC has been instrumental in funding and litigating some of the most important, precedent-setting immigration cases throughout the country. The Council's role in front of Congress, State Legislatures and immigrant rights interest groups, and others, at a time when extremely powerful and vocal elements within our society have done everything possible to undermine the value and importance of immigration to our country, is nothing short of remarkable.
AIC has built a very credible reputation in the immigration world.
Its performs an incredible service in honoring the enduring contributions of America's immigrants, protecting fundamental constitutional and human rights and promoting sensible and humane immigration policies that reflect American values. I rely on their materials in legal reseacrh as well as in preparing presentations.
AIC does it all. From advocay to litigation on important legal issues, AIC is the best of the best. Immigration Lawyers can't do it all by themselves and AIC makes research and other valuable resources available at any time for attorneys. The practice advisories are unmatched. I consult AIC resources and knowledgeable staff members on a regular basis.
Whenever I have a question, the FIRST place I look is to the AIC in hopes that there will be an AIC Practice Advisory on my question. AIC Practice Advisories are invaluable.
The American Immigration Council's research products, factsheets and advocacy documents are invaluable.
The Mainstream Media Project depends on the American Immigration Council for ongoing information on all aspects of immigration reform. This enables us to focus on the most immediate and urgent immigration issues and get information out to the public through radio interviews across the country. The comprehensive range of information AIC provides--breaking news, pending legislation, planned events and more--keeps us in the loop and maximizes our effectiveness in staying on top of immigration developments.
I rely on the extraordinarily high quality and reliable information disseminated by AIC and could not represent my clients well without it. I have donated to the organization consistently and feel that every dollar I have contributed to its support has been returned to me ten-fold via its public services.
AIC provides broad and deep resources for immigration attorneys to keep us informed on developments in the law and provides invaluable analytical materials to help us better defend the legal rights of our clients. In addition, AIC has developed resources to support the efforts of immigrant advocates and policy makers who are seeking to change the broken parts of our immigration laws.
The American Immigration Council has over the past few years maintained a steady and powerful flow of activities to protect immigrants' rights and provide information on the current state and effects of immigration on our society and economy. They do this through research, publications, advocacy, litigation, and education. The Executive Director is a recognized authority on the subject and is frequently called on to be a speaker or commentator. The staff is well qualified and totally committed to the organizations mission.

The practice advisories are always well-thought out and professional, the amicus assistance is invaluable, and the lobbying efforts have played a critical role in educating Congress about existing problems with our immigration system. I can't recommend AIC enough.
AIC's rapid-response, detailed blog posts and issue briefs on immigration related issues are extremely helpful for lay audiences, journalists, and immigration practitioners alike. The organization's depth and breadth of coverage is unusual among immigration-related news and policy sources.
As an immigration attorney, I love AIC's practice advisories on new or challenging developments in immigration law.

A truly wonderful non profit that is providing five star service.

I subscribe to their listserve and regularly rely on their excellent practice advisories when advising my clients. I donate to this organization regularly because it is one of the most reliable sources for understanding and analyzing complex immigration laws. I also regularly download the information they have gathered on the impact of immigrants in each state and have used these when contacting my congressional representatives on these issues. They also have great educational resources for those wanting to learn more about the basics of immigration law and policy.
I am a practicing immigration attorney in Miami, FL. I subscribed to AIC's newsletter. AIC's practical advisories have significantly contributed to my practice. AIC's updates on the Immigration Reform and other relevant developing immigration issues are invaluable.

And AIC's J-1 exchange program for interns in business and technical fields has provided countless opportunities for American companies to make connections abroad.
