Mission: American hunanese association (aha) provides educational assistance to the general public through the local promotion of chinese culture, the support of local and international educational programs, and the development of a platform for information exchange and entrepreneurship.
Programs: Chinese culture development:this program is to promote chinese culture in the areas of art, education an community services mainly through the annual chinese new year celebration. This event attracts more than 300 community members every year.
star education program:this is the main program sponsored by the organization. The program benefits several elementary schools in remote areas of four provinces in china. The students covered by the program receive annual financial assistance ranging from $100-$400 per year. The participating schools are also eligible to receive additional assistance if qualified.
summer camp program - this is an annual summer program admitting students from the u. S. And china to participate in a one-week long summer camp focusing on education and culture exchange.
