Mission: The purpose of the organization (afkpl) is to encourage literacy appreciation and literacy in rwanda. In partnership with the rotary club of kigali-virunga, the afkpl built rwanda's first public library, which opened in april 2012 and was inaugurated in october 2012. The afkpl continues to work with the rotary club of kigali-virunga to support the library's programmatic activities.
