Programs: Craft shows and exhibitions - craft shows and exhibitions are held in four locations across the united states to connect the public with contemporary craft and its makers in an immediate, personal, and interactive way. Acc shows provide opportunities for attendees to experience cutting-edge work, fine craftsmanship, and see how craft objects add beauty and meaning to everyday life. Over 35,000 people attend acc shows annually.

american craft magazine - american craft is a bi-monthly magazine that celebrates the modern makers who shape the world around us. Presenting unknown innovators and artistic stalwarts, american craft connects the disparate worlds of art, industry, fashion, architecture and design giving an entirely new voice to the craft community. American craft is received by over 20,000 members including 3,000 schools and libraries. It is also available through galleries and newsstands throughout the country.

library & educational programs the american craft council library maintains one of the most comprehensive collections of print and visual materials on american studio craft in the country. In addition to 15,000 books, catalogues, and periodicals, as well as 3,000 files on individual artists, the library is also the repository for archives of significant craft institutions. Educational programs of the council promote appreciation and understanding of contemporary craft among all levels of interest and ability. Educational experiences are presented at all acc craft shows and exhibitions, and feature demonstrations, lectures, and panel discussions. Regularly presented programs, such as the library salon series, include various topics and speakers. The acc awards program recognizes individual and organizational achievements to further the field, including the college of fellows, gold medal for consummate craftsmanship, emerging voice awards and rare craft fellowship awards. The acc regularly contributes to conferences, think tanks, and symposia organized across the field of contemporary craft and design. In october 2016 the council hosted its national conference in omaha, ne.
