ACF LA has been a very valuable resource for me as a composer. It creates a community around new music which is a very challenging goal, especially in a place like Los Angeles. There are so many composers in this city but very few organizations that are devoted to concert music, experimental music, chamber music, etc. The ACF has been essential to me personally because I have gotten two generous grants with quick turnaround that enabled me to realize two projects that have become major assets in my career as a composer.

ACF/LA has been an indispensible part of my life as a composer and musician working in California, both in LA and elsewhere - it has at various times supported salons, workshops, grants and grant making ideas and proposals, and many situations to help with networking and to supporting the work of composers throughout Los Angeles. I urge you to continue to support this terrific organization, and am happy to give it any support that I can - Michael Roth

As a musician who is relatively new to working within the realm of new chamber music, ACF-LA has already proven very helpful at connecting me with other composers and ensembles in my local area and allowing me to learn from them. I look forward to seeing how they expand in coming years.
