Causes: Sports, Winter Sports
Mission: The american collegiate hockey association is the national governing body for the sport of ice hockey at the collegiate level throughout the united states. The overall objective is to maintain the highest possible standards for the sport in key areas of coaching, playing, officiating, and competition.
Programs: The organization coordinates and manages ice hockey tournaments at regional, national, and world levels for collegiate teams. These events support participant development and recognize outstanding skills through structured team competitions, and increase knowledge of and enthusiasm for the sport. Membership includes five divisions (men's division 1, 2, and 3; women's division 1 and 2) with nearly 500 collegiate teams from across the nation representing 49 states.
