Mission: The mission of the organization is to provide funds for the spaying or neutering of cats and dogs through licensed veterinarians for pets owned by persons who cannot afford to pay for the procedure. Spaying and neutering of animals is the primary humane method to reduce the number of unwanted, abandoned and abused pets which benefits both the animals and the community.
Programs: Provision of payments to veterinarians for spay, neuter and medical procedures for animals owned by the poor and for stray animals. The organization also cares for some of the animals during the recovery period after the procedures performed by the veterinarians. Primary funding is received from broward county florida which believes that the reduction of stray and unwanted animals serves as both a county and public purpose. Approximately 300 animals received care during 2010.
