American Cancer Society is not publicly respected and they are not trustworthy because of their poor reputation and shams. All they are interested is to get your money. Here are just a couple of public record links about them:

The American Cancer Society provided reimbursement to our family after we drove over 100 miles 3 times a week for my son's chemotherapy and radiation treatment. They also called periodically to check on my son. God Bless the American Cancer society
I have had the opportunity to volunteer for many non profit organizations over the years. The American Cancer Society stands out in my experience in so many ways. Their incredibly focused and yet far reaching mission, the unbelievably dedicated staff, and their stewardship of doner dollars puts the American Cancer Society in another league altogether. I have been privileged to see the organization from the inside out in my volunteer leadership position. I have the utmost respect for all aspects of the American Cancer Society ~ especially their honest first priority, the patient. Wether it be in patient services, support, education, or advocacy efforts, this organization is dedicated to helping people stay well, get well, fund cures and fight back.
