American Bone Health is an amazing organization. They train volunteers thouroughly with a wonderful program. Materials and resources are top notch. They are always accessible to answer volunteer and public’s questions, promptly, with the latest scientific information. As a volunteer, we are highly trained, and each year do outreach programs to communities, which are well planned and organized. The staff at ABH puts a lot of hard work and effort to get all of these programs up and running. I am honored to be a part of such an amazing organization.

I have been a volunteer for American Bone Health for many years. They are very professional. Their handouts are very informative and high quality. After giving a presentation, listeners tell me the information was very helpful to them. It’s a great service to the community.

This is my 2nd year participating the ABH fair. Office emailed me, that means office kept
email address in well organized manner. As I remember last year, fair was very informative passing out well prepared handouts, so I signed up again. Without disappointment the seminar was wonderful with likable speakers, very friendly leader, many pleasant
volunteers and delicious lunch. My bone felt well, I felt fine. Cannot wait for next Bone Health Fair.

American Bone Health is at the top of my list for being a great non-profit. ABH is a national grass roots organization that uses Peer educators to conduct seminars throughout the country educating people about bone health. They focus on mature adults, but also on teenagers who put abnormal stress on their bones participating in year-round sports. Who would have thought! Teenage girls in year-round sports with fractures! 1 in 4 seniors will fall each year with over 2.8 million broken bones! …… ABH educates the public through seminars on good bone health, teaching safe exercising, and nutrition to help keep bones healthy. In addition, ABH review’s the top news articles on bone issues with their medical board to discuss their impact. A national hot line to answer questions on bone health is also invaluable.
Personally, I fit the profile for someone who was going to have bone health issues. I participated in year-round sports as a teenager and am also thin boned. I also had a Stage 3 breast cancer and was on a treatment for a number of years to prevent its recurrence. Cancer preventative drugs put terrible stress on bones. For the past 15 years I have been taking drugs that help prevent bone loss. So far, so good.

American Bone Health is a fantastic organization to support! It's also the one that's more likely to be specifically relevant to you weather you know it or not.

Most people don't know that Osteoporosis is not an old persons disease. Rather, its a you persons disease that manifests itself as a person gets older.

Frankly, I didn't know that prior to my engaging with American Bone Health. Now that I do, it helps me keep this aspect and many others in mind when thinking about diet choices, exercise choices, and other daily aspects of life.

I would encourage everyone to support this great organization.
