The society also publishes the astrophysical supplement, letters, and the astronomical journal. The society's journals are the leading source of scientific content in astronomy and related fields. In 2017, the society published 55,652 pages or 4,401 articles.
meetings - the society holds two meetings per year, in addition to the annual meeting for the six divisions of the aas. The meetings serve as a venue in which the members can share scientific research with our community. In addition to formal presentations, the society ensures that events are scheduled to facilitate the sharing of information and ideas. In 2017, over 3,399 registrants attended the aas meetings. Additionally, the society has over 70 exhibitors at these meetings.
