Target demographics: Caregivers in Central Florida, age 40+
Programs: Community services - 16,000 participants. Walk-in visits and appointments are available in the main new port richey office. Memory screenings, support group meetings, emergency placement services, legal referrals, a help line, web page and library services are maintained.
educational activities - 1654 participants. Throughout the eight county service area in florida: seminars, care giver days, stress buster events, health fair participation, speaker bureau services, a newsletter (published quarterly), and educational books are available to the general public. In addition, state certified trainers are provided to meet mandated certification for professional care givers.
respite care reimbursement - 14 participants. In order for the primary caregiver, often an elderly spouse who has little or no family assistance, to free up time for personal needs and stress relief, a reimbursement for costs of outside assistance is available.
