Mission: For 27 years, the Alzheimer's Association has supported individuals and families struggling with this devastating disease. The leading cause of all dementia, Alzheimer's disease affects 1 in 8 over age 65 and nearly 50% of those aged 85+. Our mission is "To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health." We are part of a national network with over 300 points of contact and rely on our own fundraising to provide programs and services in the Northern California & Northern Nevada region.
