Causes: Alzheimers Disease, Health
Mission: To eliminate Alzheimer?s disease through the advancement of research and to enhance care and support for individuals, their families and caregivers.
Programs: The Chapter offers a free 24-hour Helpline (800.272.3900), staffed by Master's-level clinicians who provide information, referrals and guidance in virtually every language. In addition, the Chapter serves as the area's training provider for State-mandated Level I and Level II certificates, required for all employees who work directly with Alzheimer's patients in assisted living facilites, skilled nursing facilities and home health agencies. The organization also facilitates three Memory Walks (for the Gold Coast, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast areas) and registers persons with Alzheimer's and their caregivers for Safe Return bracelets.
