Causes: Alzheimers Disease, Health, Leadership Development, Voluntary Health Associations & Medical Disciplines
Mission: The mission of the Alzheimer's Prize Foundation for the Cure, Inc. is to dramatically accelerate the cure for Alzheimer's disease. To accomplish this, our goal is to raise and award a $20,000,000 (twenty million dollar) cash prize that will go to the scientist(s) who discover the cure. Cash prizes were behind the rapid development of aviation, computers and space tourism. A $10,000,000 cash-prize was awarded by another non-profit organization in Oct. 2004 when SpaceShipOne flew into sub-orbit. To our knowledge, we are the first to employ a major cash prize incentive in the area of medicine and our organization is making medical history. We believe that this competition will be a major driving force towards the cure.
