In 1997, bethesda hospital, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) community hospital organization, affiliated with good samaritan medical center, a tax exempt 501(c)(3) catholic hospital in zanesville, ohio, to form genesis healthcare system. Alternacare accepts all patients regardless of ability to pay, including medicare and medicaid patients, in an effort to provide the best and most efficient healthcare coverage to the zanesville community.
