Mission: The purpose of the foundation is to support the altavista area chamber of commerce's programs that are for educational and charitable purposes.
Programs: Five altavista, virginia area schools participate in the outstanding teacher of the year award which is given annually in january to promote excellence in our schools. During the year ended december 31, 2014 the organization awarded amounts to five teachers. In addition, one out of the five teachers also received the outstanding teacher of the year award.
scholarships are given to area students in may to further their education. The scholarships are available to students in the altavista, virginia area. During the year ended december 31, 2014 the organization awarded one scholarship.
