Mission: The mission of the ALS Association Bay Area Chapter is to find a cure for ALS, to improve the lives of people living with ALS and to advocate issues of importance to the ALS community.
Programs: ALSA Bay Area Chapter's programs include nine support groups, resources for living with ALS and respite care for family caregivers. An Augmentative Alternative Communication program supplies equipment for patients who have lost their speech. The Chapter is affiliated with two ALSA Certified Clinical Care Centers - The Forbes Norris MDA/ALS Research Center and The UCSF ALS Research and Patient Care Center.
