Although I feel/hear what you are saying, but all nonprofit organizations are getting hit terribly hard. I have heard and read great things about Alpha House and what they try to do to help with the young women. But understand this, many things are out of one's control, such as funding. Unfortunately, when funding cuts happen many individuals either lose their jobs and/or hours are cut. I have worked in many nonprofit organizations and have been involved, personally, having my position cut or hours cut, but really do you think you had the right to attack someone personally? You are not in this persons feet. Do you understand how difficult it is to maintain a nonprofit, small or large, and not expect, especially in today's economy, that nonprofits are the first to be hit finacially. I understand you maybe upset; however, don't attack someone on a personal note that does not show very good character on your part! Shame on you.

please read what was written and not what you want to read....terribly run organization is very different than having to deal with budget cuts and yes i have been in the non-profit sector for 15 years now and more so the management end of it for 7.... so yes i know how "difficult" times are but i also know that there are many other options that need to be looked at before cutting positions or hours....especially for one of the most veteran staff at the company that goes above and beyond day in and day out the girls at that house.....and again cutting a newly mothered womans hours by more than half....the exact population that they are helping over there....also conveniently when this "budget cut" was questioned and the bullying was not taken laying down the funds amazingly reappeared ....i believe that the same is on Jenn and you for defending that type of action

Terribly run organization that not only can not take care of their clients but treats their employees even worse. They recently had an employee give birth to her second child and take only 5 weeks off (of which she had pto to cover and was approved by the parties necessary), not even the normal 12 weeks that is afforded most newly birthed mothers. During this 5 weeks this new mother was informed that "funding has been slashed across the board" and that she will now only be offered 16 hours of work a week. No other employees had any decrease in work hours and in fact they just hired a new employee during the 5 weeks this lady was off. This is the exact type of population that they are suppose to be "helping". This employee has been a dedicated employee for 6 years now with nothing but glowing reviews from her employer and more importantly her clients. She is the kind of caring individual that has spent nights in the hospital with her clients when they had no one else to support them. It is an abomination if this agency, which has the potential to provide great services to the community, continues to be lead by a hypocritical, lazy and vindictive executive director in Jennifer Stracick. Change needs to be made or these vulnerable women will continue to suffer.

Amazing giving organization that gives women and children a chance at a better future. This amazing agency gives food, shelter, and education for independent living skills to homeless women and children. I have donated to them on numerous basis and have toured the facility. Without this agency I dont know where these women would be.
