a charity that is full of love, compassion, and HOPE. 100% Volunteer, from sea to shining sea. Ally's legacy lives on through the WARRIOR spirit, from both volunteers, and recipients . It's an honor and a beacon of light to be associated with this organization.
An amazing non profit charity that provides life interrupted grants for young adults fighting cancer. The grants are meant to help with living expenses that the cancer victim must have, but the horrible disease has robbed them of the ability to pay for, such as utilities , mortgage payments, car insurance, etc..You get the idea. Monies are raised thru fundraisers and the generosity of donors. The foundation is operated 100% by volunteers.I volunteer and donate so I personally know how much good this charity does. Much more help
Is needed! Please help support the young victims of this horrible disease called cancer and support the Allyson Whitney Foundation. Every cent goes to the effort to alleviate some of the life expenses or to research to battle the effects of the disease.
Just a wonderful non-profit. So selfless and eager to help young people with cancer.

The foundation's unending outpouring of love and support far exceeds any I've ever known. Ally was the most courageous, loving, selfless young woman I have ever had the honor of knowing. Through this foundation her dream of helping others lives forever.
We found out my daughter Valerie had cancer in January of this year. It’s been a roller coaster ride full of ups & downs but we made it to the end and couldn’t have come this far without the support of great folks like those at Allison Whitney Foundation. Thank you for the hand up when things were at the bleakest for us. The journey will never be completely over, but we will adjust to the “new” normal. Valerie is a warrior! Facing cancer is never easy but helpful folks along the way sure help ❤️❤️

As a recipient of the AWF grant and the 2018 Survivor Honoree, I can confidently say that the love, support, and compassion that is provided by everyone in the Allyson Whitney Foundation family is unmatched. They are truly dedicated to their community and go above and beyond to help fighters during the most difficult time in their lives. The annual 5K is always a success (despite the rain), and brings the community together is such a special way.
Love this foundation, what it stands for and all the people involved . Their annual 5K brings together a special following mixed with fighters, warriors and kind souls that want to make a difference . It definitely follows the dream of our inspiration, Allyson. She inspired us to help those who are going through a battle and to make their lives a little better. Allyson helped others while she was fighting and that trait stands out in this foundation. I’m so happy and honored to be a part of this.

AWF assists young adults fighting rare cancers with grants so they can focus on healing . I have been involved in many of the foundations events since its inauguration. Being that I knew this was Allyson Whitneys dream, I support her family who made this dream come true and assist others going through the same ordeal she went through. The foundation attracts people who are a joy to be around and work with. To those who have experienced a loved one with cancer, you know how important this cause is.
Unfortunately, my family witnessed the unthinkable; the tragedy of losing a young adult from cancer. That’s one reason I support this great organization. The results of their hard work, dedication, and sensitivity, from their leaders to the hundreds of volunteers throughout our country, is inspiring. In addition, their contributions that promote research to find a cure for life-shortening diseases impacts each and every one of our lives at any given moment. I wholeheartedly endorse the AWF and encourage others to follow me.
Allyson Whitney Foundation, Inc.
This focused and dedicated "family" rose from the ruin to make incredible accomplishments and grow at an alarming rate. They had stepped into a world they didn't know needed them and their strength.
AWF, started after the loss of a dear young lady who fell through the cracks of SCCC, has been a saving grace for those who come into contact with the ENERGY it transmits for HOPE, especially in this area. It isn't contained- it spreads to NYC, LA, down south and has far reaching tentacles where care and resources are needed. Every fundraising event is great, lots of enthusiasm and gets all ages involved and made aware. The AWF benefits many ('patients' ) directly as well as things like gift baskets to those receiving treatment. AWF spreads hope, care and love. I assist with part fo fundraising or a 5K race every year and being involved give ME great joy - as well as the numbers of people who year, after year, participate. It's a well run machine and adm does a great and fair (compliant) job. Admirable organization ! Join us next May for the AWF Run to experience HOPE - 5 Stars +!
This is a dedicated and compassionate organization. From the board down they work hard and work all the time to raise much needed funds to award to young adults battling cancer.
I was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. This foundation sent me a grant that helped me and my family get through this awful time in our lives. Love this foundation!!
Wonderful nonprofit! The Allyson Whitney Foundation helped us financially when my husband got his Bone Marrow Transplant. We are young business owners who have been struggling to keep our business open while my husband fights AML. We are very grateful for this organization.
From its inception the Allyson Whitney Foundation had a profound and lasting effect on the people they help. I have been a volunteer for the foundation at their yearly 5k and my daughter has run the race every year. The love, passion and dedication of this organization stands as testament to its namesake. As they grow, the need for what they do grows. They are an all volunteer non profit and deserve every award that exists.

I am a proud volunteer for the Allyson Whitney Foundation since its inception so close to Allyson's passing. The inspiration of her family and friends in creating Ally's vision continues to inspire me and my daughter. I happily volunteer every year at the annual 5K and through the year try to do whatever I can to raise awareness of their mission. My daughter runs the 5K every year and has grown up watching this foundation grow up as well. The work they do in helping young adults with rare cancers is remarkable in many ways. The sheer amount of money they are able to raise and then give grants is nothing short of a miracle. AWF is a small group of passionate and dedicated board members with Ally's "army" pushing it along to make it grow ever wider in influence and ability to help those in need. This is passion and dedication and perseverence of the highest order.
An exemplary group of dedicated individuals. A true not for profit supporting individuals through their most difficult battles.

It meant the world to her to feel more like herself during this difficult time. This is just one way that the organization works to support these young adults fighting a rare cancer.

When choosing charities or causes to donate to, there are always a number of issues that sway the decision. A connection to the organization is usually where it starts but equally as important is the appropriate use of funds and operation of the charity. Over the years, the Allyson Whitney Foundation has proven to be a well run and emotionally driven charity where donors can confidently provide support to their continual efforts to rid the planet of rare cancers in young adults.

This is an organization started in memory of my cousin. Her sister, mother and Friends started this Foundation and it took off due to the dedication and generosity of the family and friends of Ally. The support of so many donors has been amazing. all of the people working for this organization do not get paid.....it is all strictly volunteers.....and money goes directly to the foundation to help young adults with rare cancers.....providing life interrupted grants and hope gift bags to make their struggle a little more bearable.
I have never been part of such an amazing group of volunteers who truly put their heart into what they do! This foundation's Big heart is in all that is done!
Raising money, raising awareness and raising spirits is what the Allyson Whitney Foundation embodies as a nonprofit. Through heartbreak they found the motivation to shine a light on young adults with rare cancers in the hopes of preventing another young person and their family to experience the same hardship. God bless Allyson Whitney, her friends and family and the Foundation I have come to love.
This amazing organization helps people fight rare cancers. It started in memory of a strong loving woman named Allyson who always went out of her way to help others.
This is an organization that was started in love. The namesake of the foundation was a young female who inspired many with her kind soul, her strength and grace through hardship, and her want to help others when most would not be selfless. Her family & friends have done an amazing job at building a foundation that reflects her and continues her philanthropic work. They touch a demographic that is often looked passed but is ever growing. Young adults who are at a very complicated time in their life. I can not give them enough praises. Everyone should attend one of their events or read their story to understand.
This non profit organization is continually striving to do more and more to raise awarness of rare cervical cancers. I have been proud to help in the many events that they have had. They consistently raise a tremendous amount of money in very creative ways!
An organization born from the love of a beautiful girl named Allyson to bring awareness, raise funds and give hope to young adults in need is what AWF stands for.
One of the best, actually THE best, origanizations out there! The work and attitude the people running it have is always so kind-hearted and meaningful! ❤️
My friend, Jazmine Fuentes, was The Allyson Whitney Foundation's 1st Life Interrupted Grant recipient. In her early 20's, Jazmine was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. This was a devastating blow to her and everyone around her. Her close friends started fundraising for her to help with travel expenses, hotel costs, cell phone bills - anything we could do to help her during her fight.
Jazmine lost her battle in November of 2014. But her honor and memory did not stop there... We were graciously asked to be part of the Allyson Whitney Foundation to help with grassroots events. This was our way of honoring Jazmine, and help other young adults who are going through what she went through.
My work with The Allyson Whitney Foundation provides me with a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. This is my way of paying it forward in the world. My way of helping another who is facing the ultimate nightmare that is cancer.
All the work is done by volunteers at The Allyson Whitney Foundation... It's a passion and drive that everyone has... The passion and drive to help others during their most difficult times. Whether we do it to honor some who passed, someone who is currently fighting or do it for our self, we all love working with The Allyson Whitney Foundation and stand up for what they believe in!

Wonderful foundation that has turned a tragedy into something positive that brings the community together to help others.
The family took a tragedy and turned it into a way to help others suffering from similar diseases. Their strength is simply incredible !
My sister just passed away from LCCC (large cell cervical cancer). It's similar to the cancer that the Allyson foundation helps. When my sister was diagnosed with cancer it was devastating;finding out that it's a rare cancer was even scarier. Young women need all the support they can get and that's what the Allyson foundation supports.
This foundation was created in memory of an amazing young lady who, shortly after being diagnosed, decided she wanted to help other people in her situation. In 5 short years this foundation has helped so many young people battling this horrible disease all over the U.S. I volunteer every year for the 5K and am amazed at the support from our small community.
The Allyson Whitney Foundation is a light of hope in tragic times. Every single person who volunteers and works for this foundation are heaven sent. Four years ago my cousin, who was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer, entered the hospital with seizures and never came home. During his three week stay, Barbara reached out with paperwork for the foundation as well as support and kind words. My cousin unfortunately passed away the next week. I'll never forgot her kindness and willingness to help in any way she could. I support this foundation in any way I can in memory of my cousin and all of those fighting this battle.
when my grandchild was sick for 2 1/2 years this wonderful organization helped my daughter with incidentals that otherwise would have strained the already creaking family budget. God bless them for all they do to help the families of children with cancer
Im a Small Cell Cervical Cancer survivor and I appreciate everything Allysons family & friends do to continue to suport our sisterhood.
Allyson Whitney was one of my Cancer sisters . I met Allyson in spring 2011 in Newyork . We both belonged to a group of women from around the world all diagnosed with the same Rare Cancer . You could not meet Ally and not know how special she was . After Ally's death her family started this Foundation in her memory . The have been a tremendous support to young adults with Rare Cancers and research for Small and Large Cell Cervical Cancer . Love this Foundation and their hearts to fight to help others .
This is a wonderful organization that helps young people with rare small cell cancers. It also contributes to research to find a cure. It started as a loving tribute to a young woman, Allyson Whitney Strong, who lost her battle over 5 years ago from small cell cervical cancer. Her family began this in her memory and has helped countless people live a more meaningful, full life while battling this horrific disease. Numerous fundraisers are held throughout the year and across the country. The culminating event is a walk/run every May, around the time of Allyson's birthday, in the Catskills mountains of New York, where she grew up.
Out of the darkness came the dawn...
This foundation works tirelessly in loving memory of Allyson Whitney strong. Helping families through treatment with life interrupted grants. Giving meaning and purpose to the life of Allyson. Helping families remain focused on treatment and not worrying about daily life expenses, copays, and travel costs.
