I was lied to by the inclusion specialist named Dennis Hill.
Now no one wants to take responsibility for that lie that I was told and for the fact that he took it up on himself not to turn in my application
I learned of Alliance Disability Advocates and the more I researched the more impressed I was by this organization. I have had the pleasure of working with Tammy in the past and her passion for serving the underserved has always been an inspiration. The number of lives that ADANC has positively impacted is nothing short of miraculous. Thank you for all that you do!
I began working for ADANC in April of this year. I have been so happy to work for a company that puts clients needs at the forefront of their mission while also valuing their employees. ADANC works on a model that values quality over quantity. I read recently that people with disabilities do not need equality, they need equity. Equality is giving everyone the same thing while equity makes sure everyone gets what they need. ADANC focusing on getting individuals with disabilities what they need in order to remain independent and engage in the community in which they live. Through the work that ADANC accomplishes, I see the difference they make in the lives of people with disabilities.
Alliance of Disability Advocates has literally saved my life. As a former Incarcerated person with a disability I am so very thankful for all of the assistance that was and continues to be provided to me!
Alliance of Disability Advocates is an amazing organization that helps to provide individuals with disabilities the resources they need to be able to live independently. I have had the great opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors since June 2021. The team at Alliance provides many services to their consumers including travel training, reentry support, and independent living skills. I look forward to seeing the additional ways in which Alliance of Disability Advocates will continue to help our community!
The Alliance provides information, training, and direct support for individuals with disabilities to help them with employment, education, and other needs necessary to live successfully in our community. They provide information and referral, independent living skills training, peer support, advocacy and transitioning support. Their vision is to see individuals in North Carolina who experience a disability living in the communities of their choice and empowered to address their own needs.
