Causes: Nonprofit Management
Mission: Serve, support, protect and promote Arizona's nonprofit community.
Results: We saved nonprofits thousands of dollars each year through leveraged buying power that saves them dollars on administrative costs. We reach more than 1,400 nonprofit leaders and professionals each year with networking and best practices workshops. We are the voice of the state's nonprofit community, representing it with media, policy makers and the community at large.
Target demographics: Our members include all types of nonprofits, along with partner stakeholders who support the interests of the state’s nonprofit community. The Alliance’s nonprofit members represent the diversity of missions and geography of the Grand Canyon State’s community service organizations.
Direct beneficiaries per year: nearly 500 member organizations; more than 1,400 workshop and networking participants; more than 6,000 who receive e-news communications every week
Programs: The Alliance serves its mission in the following five ways: • Educating the community about the contributions and economic impact of nonprofits, along with key issues confronting nonprofit organizations. • Amplifying the voice of Arizona nonprofits and facilitating advocacy for policy and decision making that contributes to a strong nonprofit community. • Promoting knowledge sharing and use of best practices among nonprofit organizations through collaboration, communities of practice and learning opportunities. • Providing services to nonprofits that strengthen individual organizations, lead to effective use of resources and increase impact of nonprofit missions in the community. • Leveraging the nonprofit sector’s buying power to offer reduced costs for products and services used widely by nonprofit organizations, ensuring that maximum dollars possible are dedicated to core programs in nonprofits.
