Causes: Health
Mission: The AiRS mission is to provide women access to breast reconstruction surgery after mastectomy. We advocate for, educate, and support breast cancer survivors by raising awareness, building confidence, and restoring dignity through funding and the support of our professional network across the country.
Results: AiRS Outreach and Education Programs reaches thousands of people worldwide, providing updated medical information regarding breast cancer, treatment and reconstruction options. AiRS has provided surgery or other medical support to more than 70 women in 21 since 2013. Another 20+ are currently in the process of completing cancer treatment and applying for help through the AiRS Foundation.
Target demographics: those seeking information and support for breast reconstruction after cancer and mastectomy
Direct beneficiaries per year: 22 women with 25 carried over to 2018 to complete pre-surgery treatments, etc.
Geographic areas served: All US continental states
Programs: We continue to raise awareness thru social media and education on our website. In 4 years, AiRS has provided financial support to 71 women in 19 states.
