This organization has made a HUGE impact in the west San Fernando Valley helping people with the service they need to get back on their feet. They helped me out and then I volunteered with them to pay it forward. Forever grateful!!! Jay Taco

ACE is a participant centered organization that supports individuals from all backgrounds in life. As a staff, I enjoy supporting participants achieve their goals and obtain their high school diploma and complete vocational training. I love the work and the mission of this organization.
Great place for me since traditional school just wasn't helping, but here I can get all the help I need for anything, even helping me find a job plus the staff really do show that they want you to be successful and care about you.

I came to this non profit end of 2019 early 2020 for there high school program the support was overwhelming but it really helped me in a time of need when I didn’t know I needed it. The school has built my leadership, confidence and over all communication skills I wouldn’t be where I’m at if it wasn’t for this program they even gave me a job opportunity during the summer to further my resume. This school does great things and overall uplifts our community

Over my 18 years career in the nonprofit/community development sector I’ve worked for my fair share of nonprofits. None can compare to the commitment, compassion, and dedication that ACE has for the people community it serves. What I appreciate just as much is the equal and just treatment of all staff and the work / life balance that ACE promotes.
Alliance for Community Empowerment has been incredible in my community. They constantly put in the legwork to remain seen in the community and always have an open door. Their engagement goes far beyond service, they consistently host community events and actively pull in other resources and companies to invest back into the community.
ACE knows no bounds to help and support the community it serves. Working with gang-related youth, justice involved individuals, young parents, and helping students earn their high school diploma, ACE leads by example and truly shows their care for the community in the work and services they provide.
I participated in the program through a college internship as a mentor. This experience was great, it showed me the importance and necessity for having programs like this to address at risk youth. The changes and growth of the students are noticeable, which is an indicator (at least for me) that the program work. There is nothing better than to see the at risk youth that I mentor to graduate, to see them overcome their struggles and choosing a better life. If I had to do it all over again, I would.
ACE (Alliance for Community Empowerment) is an incredibly valuable organization that is committed to improving our neighborhoods and the lives of the vulnerable who live in them. They have partnered with our community, held events at Lanark Park in conjunction with other similar organizations and provided resources to many in need. Recently, they assisted a family who had been dealing with domestic violence and were able to provide guidance with relocating a mother and children in order to find relief from their dangerous situation. I cannot say enough about them and how much we need more organizations like these to make our world a better place.
The work being done here is absolutely incredible. They really show an interest and passion for helping the youth. Many opportunities are hard to come by especially with the particular situations that many of the students are in, but the stuff does an absolutely exceptional job of not only opening doors for them, but also showing them how to walk through them. Many of the teachers as well as other members of the faculty will use their own personal resources and valuable time to help these kids excel beyond where they are now as well as mentor them to believe that they can become the greatest versions of themselves. I was very fortunate to be able to work alongside them for some time and I had an unconventional yet memorable experience. Though they are a non profit, they bank on having the power to change these kids lives and actually push and guide them to become better than they thought they could, and achieve more than they ever believed
As a volunteer mentor I have experience multiple times the passion of the staff and other volunteers to serve the community.
The Alliance for Community Empowerment is one of the important and engaged members of the community in Canoga Park, CA. Bringing educational resources and experiences, and community and university collaborations to underserved youth, ACE is an incredible asset to the West San Fernando Valley. ACE's Diector, Michelle Miranda is a truly remarkable woman and an important partner for me and my university (California State University, Northridge).
RUTH takes into consideration the whole student. This approach has led to comprehensive programs, strong community partnerships, and success for all who are affiliated. I have had great pleasure in watching services and programs develop and continue to remain impressed by the dynamic approaches taken by RUTH.
I have seen Alliance for Community Empowerment (ACE) turn young lives around. ACE does an excellent job in assisting youth because they have a holistic approach: educational, vocational, counseling, civic engagement and supportive services. All young adults who enroll at ACE have the option to receive any and all of these services. In addition to this ACE has a caring staff. All employees love their jobs and care about the participants they serve.
I recommend ACE to anybody.
I work at the park local to ACE. When I was first assigned to Lanark RC in Canoga Park I reached out to the organization with a great response. ACE know their stuff and they care about the community. They have been a great partner to work with and I look forward to seeing them shine!
The ACE program continues to amaze and inspire me. The level of commitment and dedication expressed by the staff generates an atmosphere of creativity, generosity, and community spirit that leads the students to accomplish great things. This program is a model for how to engage marginalized and disenfranchised young adults and help them discover themselves in the most nurturing, rigorous, and caring ways.
What can I say, they are amazing group of people. Starting from the administration, the teacher and their love for teaching and making sure these kids learn is amazing. It is seen in the faces of the students. When they engage in the community, in a project they have so much pride and joy and that's a reflection of the staff.
ACE R.U.T.H Youth Build is an amazing school. I have the opportunity to work with the CEO/Principal, their staff and students on a monthly basis. They are not only community orientated but they are people who care about making their community and furthering their education.
ACE focuses on a holistic approach to working with high at risk youth in the San Fernando Valley that are underserved and lack access to valuable resources.
Providing youth with a education, so that they can reach their goals. Hold them accountable for their actions
They give youth a second chance. There are no organizations that have all the support and services that ACE does. They could improve by expanding to serve more youth and young adults.
Worked with ACE last year and felt so welcomed! Very great environment and they truly love what they do.
