Mission: Founded in 1897, The Allendale Association is dedicated to excellence and innovation in the care, education, treatment and advocacy for troubled youth and their families. Today''s programs and services reach children with a broad range of moderate to severe emotional, behavioral, and learning difficulties and challenges. Allendale offers these children a nurturing environment of support and security from their past environments and life-altering traumas and a hope for positive opportunities in their futures. Currently Allendale serves over 1,300 children and their families per year.
Programs: The Allendale Association's primary programs are: Residential Treatment which has 120 beds consisting of cottage style living in secure campus environments in Lake Villa, IL and Benet Lake, WI as well as two group homes in Waukegan, IL and a group home for girls in Highland Park, IL. Education services consist of a accreditated on campus school for grades 1-12, satellite classes in the community and a provocational studies program. Clinical and Community Services provides therapeutic programs and services for children and their families through the Bradley Counseling Center, Specialized Foster Care, Independent Living Program and Therapeutic Mentoring and Community Service Program.
