Mission: Allegheny CleanWays is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 2000, to engage and empower people to eliminate illegal dumping and littering in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
Results: Dragging a waterlogged loveseat out of the Ohio river? Hauling tires and trash off of a steep hillside? What we do isn’t for everyone, but the results are! Our programs educate students about cleaner communities for the future and provide neighborhoods a clean slate by removing illegal dumpsites. We engage volunteers to create trash-free rivers and streams throughout Allegheny County, PA. Allegheny CleanWays has engaged more than 14,145 volunteers to remove more than 5,382,463 pounds of debris, 36,074 tires, and 197,201 pounds of recyclables from the waterways, hillsides, greenways, and streets of Allegheny County!
