I’m not sure who it was responding to my emails while i was searching for a new home for my daughters rabbit but they were awfully rude, made me feel almost like a criminal because I was unaware that rabbits were not supposed to be sold in New York City pet shops! Told me I should do the “useful” thing and find out the name of the pet shop and it’s not so much what they said it’s how they said it and than blatantly told me that they can’t help me right now they’re too busy with their own problems! My mind was already blown but then once I told him that they were coming off rude they responded and added “OK is this better?” I hope they’re actually doing some good work out there because this was not the experience I was expecting to have!
Vivian is the rudest woman i've spoken to. I emailed my application to her and she said i'm too young. I'm 20 years old and i've had a previous elder bunny. She said if my father isn't funding my finances, that there's no way i could afford a rabbit. I said that she sounds age-ist and sexist, and she said it's 50% age and 50% finances, when my partner makes very, very good money and i'm a full time student. I want to file a formal complaint with this company because i'm obviously not the first nor the last to have issues with this woman. Sexist, age-ist, and rude. Take your business elsewhere.
the worst experience !! Been going back and forth for a week with Vivian..she is by far the rudest, most condescending, invasive person to probably ever walk this planet. My gynecologist asks me less personal questions
CLEARLY did not read through my application. Repeatedly asked me the same questions over and over, insisted my exotics vet was not an exotics vet! Asked me if I would be sending my nine year old to college in the future. Told me "times are tough" as if i am not an adult! Been on my own for over a decade and this woman was speaking to me as if I just graduated HS. Asked me more than once how i would cover a vet bill "in the thousands" and i MORE THAN ONCE stated i have a care credit account for this purpose SPECIFICALLY..I feel bad for these rabbits and wish i could scoop them all up myself. She was asking specifics about my work (cosmetology)how many hours I work and what I do in the field specifically - you adopt rabbits, what would you know about cosmetology in the first place?? told me she "assumed" this field isnt doing well in the current climate.. which is true, but I am a damn adult and keep a child and another rabbit alive and well ALONE without the help of anyone.. how dare you! get real and get over yourself! I have more than once source of income, and if I am willing to take on an additional responsibility to give my current bun a friend, who the hell are you to ask the specifics of my life..detestable.
I've noticed another one star review complaining about Vivian, and my god could I not agree more! The other staff were really nice and I would've loved to work with them, but my god. My first phone call with her was how she was asking me PERSONAL questions more than knowledge on rabbit care. She didn't want to give me the chance to adopt cause get this: I answered her questions with only one or two words. What?! I answered her questions the way perfectly fine but she thinks that automatically means I'm not fit for rabbit care.
Upon meeting her at an event, I offered to volunteer. Funny enough, her colleague said she was a handful. Anyways, I offer to volunteer, meanwhile my boyfriend wanted to adopt a rabbit as a companion to our single rabbit, Jack. They emailed back and forth and eventually she just stopped responding altogether, right after he had a question if his house was suitable. Meanwhile, she was upset at me for not responding for a few minutes and practically BANNED me from adopting or volunteering. I found this behavior extremely hypocritical given she never responded to my bf and would take hours to respond to me.
I emailed the rescue to complain in the most profession and polite matter I can muster and I only got a response from Vivian herself, complaining how I even dared to email the rescue about my experience.
Overall I had a horrible experience here and would please please recommend adopting elsewhere. She mentioned how she hates the ACC shelter, yet they were so much kinder and cared about my actual rabbit care knowledge.
We adopted our bunny Mochi from All About Rabbits Rescue in March, and couldn't speak more highly of the organization. They are responsive and truly knowledgeable about bunnies, and equally importantly, they are willing to spend countless hours educating first-time rabbit parents such as myself in doing the right thing. AARR has rescued and placed over 100 rabbits in homes during the pandemic. They are a humble organization of volunteers and genuine animal lovers.

All About Rabbits Rescue is an exceptional rescue organization. We adopted our lovely New Zealand bunny Mochi from them and couldn't be happier. The team is exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate, responsive and organized. They want to ensure that rabbits find the best "forever home" possible. I couldn't provide a higher appraisal for All About Rabbits Rescue, and I am certain that my sentiment is echoed by the hundreds of other rabbit parents that have adopted through AARR as evidenced through the numerous positive reviews and interactions that can be seen on social media pages.
Whoever Vivian is cannot have been ruder. All I did was fill not one but TWO applications and she’s worried about housing which can be fixed. This would be my first rabbit so instead of just telling me that the house is wrong, it could’ve simply been suggested another house or something similar. Apparently I was also rushing through the process when asked what the process was all I was told was application and they review it with you on the phone and make sure materials are good for rabbit. Step one application done. Step two rude conversation with Vivian who asked me what my problem was when inquiring about application process. All she had to say was what needed to be fixed, and then being told well if I read the packet. Which I did twice cause one I’m a first time rabbit owner and two I’m not dumb to just bring an animal home. Waste of time and my rabbit would’ve been happy with me.
This organization is amazing. I am a foster at the moment and they take so much care that the foster and adoption families are the best fit for the bunnies. They are always willing to take any rabbit in need and give them vet care. They give me the best quality food and toys for the buns to enjoy and be healthy. In general, they take excellent care that the rabbits end up in good houses where they can be loved and never abandoned.
This organization is run by angels. Their care and love for the beautiful bunnies they save is genuine and the amount of dedication is immeasurable. Last September I was fortunate enough to welcome into my home Tabatha (previously known as Ophelia). My other bunny, Timothy, and I can’t remember what our lives were like before her arrival. Their NJ affiliate was very patient with all my questions and we still stay in touch on a regular basis to give Tabatha updates etc. I was able to see her in action to save a local abandoned bunny and the word impressed doesn’t even begin to describe it.
All About Rabbits Rescue is wonderful and they are near and dear to my heart.
The workers of All About Rabbits Rescue, Inc. are more than just heroes to unfortunate bunnies, they have also become friends. This small rescue has been my family's go to for bunnies. This is not a 'hobby' for them. This is a group of highly knowledgeable individuals who care deeply about their bunny children and bend over backwards to care for them, find the right home and vet potential families.
They are also a very humble group, not constantly asking for donations but oh so deserving of every penny they receive which goes to the fantastic care to provide for the buns.
I have always said, when I win the lottery, I will buy them their own farm to house as many bunnies as they can!
Thank you to Vivian, Wendy and all the others behind the scenes. My family and our bunnies thank you.
All About Rabbits Rescue is near and dear to my heart as they connected me to my bunny Rascal! He's brought so much joy in to my life over the past 3 years and I'm thrilled that he's my roommate. After having such a good experience with adopting through AARR, I was also pleased to be able to volunteer with them during a rabbit hoarding situation near my home, where they were able to help get rabbits out of that a situation where none were spayed or neutered and were housed in a deplorable situation. I love the work AARR does for rabbits and for humans!
