I moved back to Albuquerque after living 6 1/2 years in the Louisiana State Pen. Better know as Angola. Where men are doing the rest of thier lives. Some have been in for 40 or more years. This program is showing me a new way to love and think about things.

I had case management for a year. They managed to get us on all the major housing lists, section 8 and HUD, ext. They have been a great support system during Covid when I came to me and my addictions. When your new in Albuquerque and no one it's nice to have a friendly face to just talk to on those rough days. They as offer a safe place to check the mail.

My name is Willie "Bill" Campbell Jr. I'm a 59 yr old homeless person who is who is going to online school get into the Real Estate and start my own business. The fine staff ACHR helped with that y letting me use their computer and Wifi, get my business mail and eat my breakfast here in the mornings. I get around much easier with my cart they helped me with. Even support groups like Monday coffee and anger management ran by Mr. Johnny and Mr. Donato. All these things here help me make a hard life a little easier and I would recommend these services for anyone needing help.

Prior to my present role, I was a CPSW volunteering at a local hospital in their inpatient and outpatient. Hospital staff was curious about the services provided by ACHR and I had reached out to them. ACHR was happy to give a brief presentation of the history and services they provide to the community. At the end of the presentation they encouraged us to reach out and would be happy to provide assistance. I took ACHR up on that, and had met with staff to review my professional resume and even willing to do mock interviews. It is my belief that ACHR staff helped me gain successful employment. Thanks ACHR!

I recently started making face masks with the sales going to non profits/ministries. I read the article in the Albuquerque Journal and was moved to give to this non profit, Albuquerque Center for Hope and Recovery, because a person was giving from his own pocket for supplies. Having been a teacher for over 40 years, I understood supplementing from our own pocket.

I think that this agency is so unique and appreciated by all the clients that come here for a variety of services. If you need peer support for maintaining sobriety or if your looking for a job and have not been working for awhile, ACHR can help. ACHR is committed to helping clients with peer recovery in many different ways and the staff here is fantastic to be around! I appreciate all the time that I have spent volunteering here at this agency!

Albuquerque Center for Hope and Recovery is an amazing, wonderful, unique and diverse facility that offers an array of services to anyone who walks through their door. The very thoughtful, caring and competent staff at ACHR also includes interns from CNM and NMHU who are getting an introduction as to the skills and demeanor needed to help others non-judgmentally. Administrators and structure are also top-notch with this organization, and their location in the Albuquerque downtown area is ideal. As a person in long term recovery myself, it is comforting to know that there is a place in town that provides exactly as their title reads: HOPE and RECOVERY! Thank you ACHR for all you do.

ACHR is an amazing non-profit! They help the community of Albuquerque with coping skills and a place to come to and not be judged. I worked there this summer as a Surveyor and they were professional! They do a lot of great work and I recommend to all my clients if they are located in ALBQ to go there. ACHR helps populations that are in need for better coping skills to help them with their daily living activities and be functional. Once again, ACHR is a great place to go as a client or referral if you are a mental health professional!
