The Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center (SWVBRC) slogan - "Where Communities Serve Veterans" - describes how this organization is different than other business and Veterans assistance organizations. SWVBRC pulls in the community to make a difference and provides hands on training and one-on-one mentoring and coaching to assist Veterans in their business endeavors. For example, the SWVBRC launched a video training series to prepare military and Veteran-owned businesses (and spouse-owned businesses) for the SWVBRC seventh annual Business Summit to be held on Feb. 26 - Feb. 27 in Oceanside, CA. The purpose of this series is to provide business owners the knowledge and tools they need to be procurement ready. The first two sessions, sponsored by USVetsTV, have received over 1500 views in less than two months and have attracted speakers from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Small Business Administration, and small business owners. The SWVBRC is making a difference for Veteran-owned small businesses, not just in the southwest, but coast to coast. Its volunteers are committed, and its board is driven by a stated Goals & Objectives and bound by a Letter of Acceptance to meet the board's purpose according to written standards. The SWVBRC truly is a "great nonprofit."
I have worked with The ARRC for many years. I know that Albert Renteria has the best interest of veterans like myself. He has helped me immeasurably through the years as well.
By using the community to make a difference in the lives of Veteran Business owners, SWVRC speaks a message of honor, respect, and appreciation. This message is a great way to acknowledge the courage, valor, and experience of our Veterans. May they excel in their endeavors as communities support them just as they have supported us.
SWVBRC is an amazing resource of information and support for Veterans looking to start their own business. There is so much experience and knowledge located within this nonprofit to help you succeed.

SWVBRC and Mr Renteria the Founder together with the community , are dedicated to provide resources to Veterans, Veteran Owned Businesses and Small Businesses that greatly benefit Veterans and the Community as a Whole. One of the resources available to Businesses during 2020-2021 is the opportunity to Exhibit their Business Virtually on BusinessSummit.org for less than $1/ day !! The ability for Businesses to advertise online and post their video pitch that is published & distributed by SWVBRC on their Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/OPPS4VETS/featured to thousands and thousands of people that are part of SWVBR network is invaluable exposure for such a low cost.

SWVBRC is an amazing resource of information and support for Veterans looking to start their own business. There is so much experience and knowledge located within this nonprofit to help you succeed.
Recently learning about all the different benefits offered by SWVBRC is just amazing. Teaching the community about the best ways to serve veterans.
The SWVBRC is a great organization because it helps the community better understand how to help our veterans. There should be more organizations like this one because that way our veterans feel supported by their community.
SWVBRC is a great way to communicate for business starters. The daily rate to advertise your business online is less than $2 per day depending on your package. This program has taught me that anyone can start a business and veterans can get help coming back into society. I enjoy spending my time learning new things everyday and this program has just fulfilled that!
SVBRC is a company that provides assistance with advertising for small businesses ran by veterans and other essential resources for veterans alike. It is ran by and for veterans.
SWVBRC is an organization dedicated to the community. By offering easily accessible information to the public SWVBRC is able to reach veterans who need help. Those who wish to be helped will receive immense support and knowledge that will better their lives!
My heart is filled with joy to find this amazing resource which does so much for our veterans! Bravo SWVBRC!!
I’ve have learned so much about the SWVBRC and I’m very impressed with the amount of valuable information they provide to Veterans and the community. I enjoy watching the videos and learning about all the opportunities provided to so many. Once I understood the mission of the SWVBRC I was on the phone telling my friends, family and anyone I met about this great organization. Knowing about the SWVBRC and how much they offer and provide from the kindness of their hearts makes me proud to be involved.
I have learned valuable information on SWVBRC website and there is a ton of great content. From there I got links to a lot of good videos and articles that explained what the SWVBRC was all about. Now learning from the helpful information I see how we can help the veterans in this country & I'm glad to be involved.
While volunteering for this organization and getting to know the founder I grown to so much and gained a better undestanding on how to efficiently and efficiently support our veteran and civilian small business. I am proud to be a part of this organization and what it stand for . A hand up not a hand out! They certainly go above and beyond to uphold this standard of integrity.
I am a recent volunteer for SWVBRC. This organization is amazing and full of information at no cost. I have been able to pass on the knowledge that I have gained to family members and friends both civilian and Veteran. With knowledge there is power. As a civilian I find it an honor to support Veterans.

I was informed about SWVBCR by phone and after looking into it more, found them to be able to help me learn more about my later in life e-learning, and building upon better communication skills.
I knew nothing about SWVBRC or what it does until I started as a volunteer few days ago. I am so impressed with what this organization does to help vets succeed in life after serving. It is amazing. Every day now I learn a little more about the organization and the engine behind it: Al. Al is the rock and an inspiration. It is such an honor to know such a person.
Just began Volunteering with SWVBRC recently on Dec. 3rd, in such a short time learned quite a bit of good information about SWVBRC . Al is great on helping me out with all the questions i've so far had. Made it a lot easier to navigate with this volunteering. Excited to learn more!
Just recently began volunteering at SWVBRC , still exploring and learning a lot of valuable useful information from all the resources they provide. They provide many resources to help Veterans start a new life after their military career.
This organization works to connect civilians and veterans to provide more entrepreneurs and small businesses to serve the community. They are doing their part to make sure no more vets are added to the unemployed population. Decreasing unemployment in the communities is one of the many goals this organization has.
The SWVBRC is invaluable. I am a volunteer and still learning about the multitude of beneficial programs the Southwest Veteran's Resource Center offers. Not only is being a volunteer rewarding, it is inspiring. I now feel confident that I myself could start up my own business, I had no idea there was so much support at my fingertips!

SWVBRC is an amazing organization. They have an ideal volunteer program. If you ever have any questions while in the program, they are always there to help guide you towards the answers.I am thankful to have this opportunity.
I started volunteering here not too long ago and am currently continuing my volunteering training. So far I have found it to be a great organization for veterans looking to start a business as they genuinely take the time to make sure they don't quit their business project. By providing ways they can save money in the process and assuring them with a responsive team to help them with struggles they may come across.
For over 10 years, SWVBRC has reached out nationally with the intent to eradicate the notion of a Homeless Veterans, It is great to see this effort ongoing.
This is a well connected, supportive and forward moving company that gives, educates and assists with the collaboration of Veterans AND those that want to SERVE Veterans. It is an absolute honor to be a part of any project or event this center creates or is associated with.
Helping a Veteran return to the civilian world is always a good cause, but helping a Veteran to start His/Her own business is a greater cause!
Feeling a bit unorganized and lost in the civilian world once I retired from the US Air Force, I was extremely fortunate to be introduced to Albert Renteria, CEO + Founder of the Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center (SWVBRC), HQ in Perris, Southern California. The company's tagline of, "Where Communities Serve Veterans", describes the organization perfectly. They provide group training and discussion, one-on-one mentoring and coaching and they bring in the community to assist Veterans in their business endeavors. I'm running my own successful veteran-owned business and I owe it all to the efforts of Southwest. The SWVBRC has been making a positive impact for Veterans all over America and I am honored and grateful to be a part of this amazing organization. Highly recommended!
The SWVBRC is a unique organization that offers guidance and opportunities at no financial cost to entrepreneurs.
I have served as a volunteer for the SWVBRC since 2014 and witnessed its impact on those who apply its principles to their businesses.
It is an excellent resource for those who choose to engage and participate
I have known the founder of SWVBRC for 8 wonderful years. I have been an homeless Veteran two times in my life. I was a successful cabinet making business until my service connected disability cause me to close my business and became homeless. I went to the VA and got help and was able to get my life back together. Southwest has taught me how to understand on how to do business commercially and with the government.
The founder has always been there for me and as well as other Veterans in pursuing their best outcome while volunteering his time.
Thank you all those of the SWVBRC, God Bless America, Albert Guzman, Cpl USMC
Ever since 2010, when I attended your fabulous Grand Opening, I have been in awe of how great your students are equipped with the knowledge and confidence. I was also at your event where one of the graduates, Albert Guzman, received his certificate, after finishing his courses. It thrills me that you are still in contact with each other, while he can reach out to help and guide Vets in need of help!
The Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center has been Crucial in providing our clients with training opportunities as well as employment resources. We are proud to have the Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center as a community partner.

SWVBRC provides outreach through videos and reach back technology allowing Veterans, family members and active service members to stay informed and engaged. All this with an all volunteer force.
The SWVBRC is a great place to learn about business and network with like minded people. The SWVBRC was a key contributor to my successful transition between the Marine Corps and Civilian life. The resources and opportunities available to the community through the SWVBRC far outweigh the cost of keeping the doors open. I'm great full for the day I was introduced to the SWVBRC and I'm honored to serve as a volunteer CFO.

Albert Renteria is a first-class individual and I know that anything he's involved in is something that I wanted to be involved in, especially since he is a committed advocate for Veteran's benefits and opportunities. I have a successful woman-owned small business and I am a USAF Veteran. I've had a dream of giving back to woman warriors with my business, and with the help of the Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center and Albert's extensive knowledge and expertise, I am confident that my dream will come to fruition! I'm currently attending classes at no expense to me (funded by SWVBRC) to enhance my knowledge and connections and prepare myself for the 2018 Summit. These classes along with Albert's enthusiasm and leadership will position my business for success in securing government contracts for my services. Albert Renteria a solution- producing advocate for all Veterans and I'm honored to be a part of this endeavor. Look out world, here I come!
Excellent support from the Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center. Strategic Planning is making a resurgence and a great fit for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
This organization is Legit they endeavor to assist Veteran owned small businesses position themselves to secure contracts for their services. Albert Renteria is a solution producing advocate for this important work.
I am a former naval officer and arrogantly felt I "knew it all" when it came to military benefits etc. However, I could not have been more wrong. My association with the SWVBRC was not only enjoyable, but I now enjoy thousands of dollars in military benefits that I did not know existed for me. The difference this has made in my family's financial situation is beyond words. My special thanks to Albert Renteria who was instrumental and key in plugging me in to a very convoluted network of well-meaning but highly bureaucratic organizations. It was only by him running this gauntlet and interference for me that I was able have been successful in the end. My deepest thanks and appreciation for all the good work he, the SWVBRC and the ARRC does for us veterans!!
All the best,
Steve Wilson
This company does such great work and helps so many veterans. If we had more foundations and business's that thought of others first instead of themselves first America would be a better country. Without our service men and women we wouldn't have this country and I think standing with and for the veterans is the least that the Americans can do for what they have done and sacrificed for us.
As a Marine Corp Veteran the SWVBRC has helped me get some of the benefits I am entitled to. The organization gave me the information I needed to get and apply for my benefits. The center has helped me plan for my future as well as open up many different doors to help secure the future I want. I am so grateful for what the center has done for me that I now volunteer there.
I had questions about what the Resource Center did to help veterans. I spoke to a very nice man who answered many of my questions.
As a volunteer for the SWVBRC, I've been one of many Veterans who have enjoyed the many uncovered treasures made available to the Veteran community. Just a few weeks ago, I was awarded a grant to get a few good technical certifications. The SWVBRC is a great place for the community to connect with resource providers.
Having know Albert Renteria since age 12, I am not at all surprised by the wonderful accomplishments he has made through Southwest Veterans Business Center. His passion for and desire to improve the lives of our military heroes draws in some of the most loving and passionate volunteers imaginable - people who truly care and want to make a difference in the lives of our veterans.
As the founder, Chairman and CEO, I have had the honor to meet thousands of Americans and many of which have served. It is their efforts that have fueled me and inspired to give all that I can afford. Do visit us at www.WhereCommuitiesServeVeterans.org to see all that the communities do to serve our Veterans.
Albert R. Renteria, Chief Warrant Officer-4, US Marines Retired
Great organization and leader. Albert is so thorough in everything he does. He is not afraid to get right in there and get his hands dirty helping. No only a leader but a doer!
I am currently a United States veteran, and during the duration of time spent helping other veterans receive vital information for their futures from Southwest Veterans Resource Center. Not only did it help them it also enlightened me. Thank you guys for the help and support you give to veterans like myself.
Mar. 14, 2010 - Did you know that over 25% of the homeless population are veterans? I didn’t either until I met Albert Renteria, Founder and CEO of SWVBRC (Southwest Veterans’ Business Resource Center). Mr. Renteria, CWO-IV, USMC Retired, started SWVBRC in 2008 to serve our veterans and their families. SWVBRC’s mission is to help veterans reintegrate into civilian life and the civilian workforce once they return from the battlefield and/or leave their military life. After learning all this information I knew I wanted to volunteer and jump in and get started right away. I felt outraged that more than 25% of homeless people are veterans and yet the problem is only getting worse, not better. How is this possible? I had to learn more and see what I could do to be part of the solution. One of the most important things I learned is that most veterans do not know what earned benefits they have coming to them so once they leave the military they are just humble enough that they don't generally ask about benefits, and if there isn't a veteran resource center nearby inviting them to learn about their benefits, they will generally do without, without proper health care, without certain paid incomes, and without paid training and paid college funding programs. It’s been two years now that I have been volunteering and I am so passionate about helping our military and our veterans and their families, that I am currently making a career change so I can work full time helping our veterans. If you ever wonder if one person can make a difference, you can see that they can. Albert Renteria, one person with a vision to help mankind, his brothers and sisters in the military, and above all God and Country. His vision, shared with all of us, is the catalyst to help all of us engage in the solution to veteran homelessness. I invite all of you to look around and give thanks for all that we have in this country and in our homes. We owe those freedoms and our free lifestyle to our military and our veterans. I think they deserve to come home and enjoy those same freedoms, live in a warm and safe home, have food and good health, and enjoy the privileges that they have provided for us. I hope this will inspire you and your communities to participate by volunteering, fund-raising, or donating online or with gifts-in-kind that will help our Southwest Veterans’ Business resource Center doors stay open and grow so we can continue to help our veterans. Thank you, Christine Thayer, SWVBRC volunteer.
7 March 2010 I met the Founder of this organization nearly 10 years ago. I have found in those past years he is without a coubt the most caring and giving person I have ever had the pleasure to know and become his friend. To even begin to describe his dedication and his determination to help Veterans would take many pages to explain. As a Retired Navy Nurse, the first Resource center was dedicated in my honor. Unfortunately I was hospitalized and not able to attend the event. I selected a very dear and close friend to stand in for me. Another individual that is a source of inspiration to everyone she meets. Her husband was a POW during Vietnam for 6 or more years. It was an honor for me to have such a special person represent me. I am strongly dedicated to the success of this organization verbally, emotionally and financially. Our Veterans have served with honor to protect our freedom, so I encourage others to follow my lead. Thank you for all that have served this GREAT NATION. Carol A. Grice LCdr NC USN (Ret.)
I volunteered to go through the initial training program to serve as an example of what is required to be prepared to secure a position in the workplace outside of the military. This program teaches the veteran that he/she had excellant training in the military and that he/she needs to build on that training with additional tools to qualify in the civilian workplace. The veteran already learned discipline and to be dependable ( showing up on time and be willing to go the extra mile when necessary).
I was very honored to be a part in the planning and the presentation of the grand opening of the Fallbrook . calif office. I was very excited to meet some of the first people to sign on to the program and over time to read thier reviews in how this oganization has been such a positive improvement to thier lives. This is created and funtioned to honor and support our service people and with the corporate support and community support they will be susscessful . Please stand behind this organization . Our political and military do believe in this Southwest Veteran Business Resource Center . Ask yourself where you fit in the plans they have to better lives and get involved any way you can from finances to donated time.
I have been with them for 2 months now, and the changes I see in myself have been amazing. I love this organization.
SWVBRC offers a place for our Veterans to interact with other Veterans and develop lines of communications for possible employment. All donatations go to operating the verious centers around the USA.The goal is to do away with homeless Veterans and ensure they receive all the benefits they have earned.
I see the result of not doing anything for our Vets. So many are left without a way to re-integrate into society after giving their all for us. This organization is a positive action-taking method of helping returning Vets achieve more than a minimum wage life.
SWVBRC puts it's money where others don't. Every penny that comes in goes to help our Veterans. They are doing great things to help our Veterans down the path of life by educating them on the benefits they have EARNED!
My experience has been nothing but the best, and true professionalism at every step. I intend to continue to do business with this organization, and become more active with the non-profit portion.
As the founder, and Marine Veteran of 26 years of service, I created this organization to eradicate the notion of homeless Veterans by 2035. I am also a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business that affords me the means to donate my time, resources and a percentage of my profits to operate the Southwest Veterans' Business Resource Center. Since May 21, 2008, I have opened three centers and signed on 75 Veterans to take part of our 14 Level Reintegration Program where they can learn and earn stipends up to $2,080. It is the support of many that will allow us to achieve our aspiration by 2035. Join us!
