Results: Since 1949, we have changed the lives of over 75,000 children and last year we served just over 4,000 Alameda youth. We turn no child or family away due to lack of funds. Many alumnus of our organization have gone on to become contributors to society such as business leaders, law enforcement, doctors, lawyers, etc. Our reach extends even beyond our four walls as many other youth agencies and community partners collaborate with our organization so we may provide a larger impact on our youth members.
Since 2011, after opening our 25,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art clubhouse, we have more than doubled our membership to 1,800 and increased daily attendance to the hundreds. We serve another 2,500 youth by working with surrounding schools and community athletic leagues. In 2012, the Club received an award from the San Francisco Business Times, recognizing the new site as the most impactful local real estate deal positively affecting a low-income community.
