Mission: The Alabama Interfaith Refugee Partnership (ALIRP) is an interfaith group of religious leaders and laypersons, as well as representatives of other community groups, who have come together for the purpose of supporting refugees and asylum-seekers through direct assistance, education, and advocacy. The ALIRP was founded in response to the alarming increase in refugees and asylum-seekers in the United States and Alabama, and the lack of governmental support provided for asylum-seekers in the Birmingham area.

Direct beneficiaries per year: So far in 2022 we have served 88 individuals in 26 families
Geographic areas served: We provide direct support to asylum seekers and refugees in Birmingham Alabama and support refugees and asylum seekers throughout the world via our education and advocacy efforts
Programs: (a) volunteer care teams to help asylum seekers and refugees through services such as providing transportation, help with english classes, connecting with community resources, (b) financial support to help refugees and asylum seekers , (c) education and advocacy to address needs of refugees and asylum seekers locally and globally
