Al Sigl Foundation Inc

Programs: In its 28th year, the al sigl community walkabout involved 600 volunteer walkers who, with generous corporate support, netted $ 68,000 for al sigl community of agencies and its member agencies. Participating agencies were cp rochester, epilepsy/pralid, inc. , medical motor service, national multiple sclerosis society upstate ny chapter, rochester hearing and speech center, and rochester rehabilitation. In an atmosphere of collaboration, teamwork and celebrating abilities, agencies raise money for specific programs and funds that are raised collectively are shared by the group.

the al sigl sports committee hosts several events including a golf and tennis tournament to benefit al sigl and its members agencies. The golf tournaent is steeped in tradition, being haled as one of rochester's oldest charitable golf tournaments. The 48th al sigl sports classic netted $80,000. In addition the tennis benefit netted $25,000. Agencies received grants to fund equipment and programs. Rochester rehabilitation will be able to purchase new equipment for onesources solutions which trains and employs 40 workers. Shared ski adventures can transport equipment to more community locations enabling more to participate in a sport they love. This is just a sampling of the good work from our member agencies supported by the 2017 al sigl sports classic.

the al sigl foundation is charged with raising funds to advance the mission and objectives of the al sigl community of agencies and its collaborative member agencies. Dollars raised are managed and allocated to one unified group of progressive member agencies working together to provide vital services and programs to those with disabilities and special needs. This empowered core is then able to bring greater abilities to life for others.
