Great group of about 100 regular volunteers (no paid staff), plus hundreds of guest volunteers (Citi, Wells Fargo, JC Penney, etc.), who work hard year round to ship thousands of care packages to U.S. troops overseas. The mission is non-political, and the nonprofit has been in existence for about 10 years. The volunteers are a diverse group from across the DFW area.

I have volunteered for many years and can attest to their cost-effective use of donations and effectiveness in getting the goods to troops in remote areas. The care packages go to all branches - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines - and those care packages may have reached 100,000+ troops since the founding.

The nonprofit also helps many outside organizations (churches, businesses, civic organizations, school groups) ship soldiers care packages .

Good people focused on supporting the troops.

This organization showed pride and urgency to send needed goods to the military personnel deployed. The packing party was fast moving and everyone involved were eager to support the troops by sending these needed goods. These people are very organized and strict in following the guidelines for passing goods through UPS and USPS, so as not to waste any box space or postage. Very meaningful experience.

My family and I volunteered one Saturday. It was a very bad experience. I have never been made to feel so bad for trying to do something positive. Not sure what the issue was but my family was just there to help but we all felt the same way when we left - which is - we will never volunteer for this nonprofit again.
