AIDS Project Worcester is a wonderful agency! I had the opportunity to intern there from August to November 2014. The staff are a wonderful group of caring individuals who do everything they can to help their clients. I happily walked into the front door three mornings a week, was greeted with a smile and 'Good Morning', and was more than delighted to help them with anything they needed that day. I couldn't have picked a better, more compassionate agency to spend my time with. I highly recommend APW to anyone who has been affected by HIV/AIDS, would like to get tested for HIV, needs help controlling an intravenous drug addiction, or has the time and heart to volunteer to help the organization!

AIDS Project Worcester (APW) is an incredible organization dedicated to providing the best care for their clients and the Worcester community. As an intern, I experienced every aspect of an organization whose goal is to improve the lives of the people it serves. It was an honor to work beside such dedicated staff who care so much about the work they do and the people they assist.

AIDS Project Worcester (APW) is an agency that is about people. As an intern in the Department of Development and Community Relations, I had the privilege to experience every aspect of APW's services and work with the dedicated staff that provides care for people that much of society has turned its back on. APW is a staple in the Worcester Community, and Central Massachusetts as a whole. Can't imagine what Worcester would do without them.

AIDS Project Worcester is dedicated to providing outstanding social and medical support services. I am glad I had the opportunity to be part of this organization. The staff are caring and passionate about their job and ensure that clients' needs are met. Most of the clients' I met at APW have positive things to say about the agency and the services.

I have been a client of AIDS Project Worcester since I was diagnosed with AIDS in 2007. This agency has been there for me thru many good and bad times in my life. I thank God everyday that this agency is here to help people like myself. In 2013 I was offered a Peer Position here at AIDS Project Worcester. I have been working here over a year now and I can't think of a better place to work. Now I get to help me like myself get back on their feet and learn to live a productive life while living with this Virus. There may not be a cure for what we have but we can learn to live with it not die from it.

I have been involved with Aids Project Worcester almost since its inception. I have been a Board member since 1982 and held the post of Treasurer of the Board for over 10 years. In all my years of actively serving on non-profit boards, this agency holds a special place for me because of the dedication and compassion of its employees and volunteers. I have personally experienced the triumphs of many of the clients in overcoming the fear of death and being able to live a productive life with the help of new medicines and the constant support of the counselors at the agency. Most people serve on boards for a minimum of 3-6 years, but I choose to continue to support the work here because no one else is doing this in Central Massachusetts the way APW does.

APW is an agency of redemption. Staff have proudly created a no-judgement zone: no matter where consumers are in their lives, they are treated with dignity, respect, and patience. Staff, volunteers, and board members are so dedicated to the mission and serving the needs of the consumers. I'm proud to be associated with AIDS Project Worcester

If this agency did not not exist I do not know what i would have done when I first arrived in Worcester. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and provide me with non-judgmental services. I felt right very comfortable. I was able to secure funds to assist me with paying my rent as I was at the verge of being homeless. I got to shop at the food bank monthly as I had no job and no money to ensure that I could purchase food for myself. I continue to be grateful for the services offered to me.

I have been involved with AIDS Project Worcester for over fifteen years and the Agency has been in operation for over twenty five years. During that time the Agency has been required to shift its focus from helping persons infected with HIV/AIDS die with dignity, to helping persons who are infected to live with dignity by providing necessary supports. The Agency has been blessed with a creative and dedicated staff who, despite meager pay and limited benefits continue to serve our community helping not only those persons infected with HIV/AIDS, but also their affected family and friends. The Agency has undertaken outreach to show people how to avoid becoming infected and/or from passing the infection along and provides free, anonymous testing for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and now for other sexually transmitted diseases. Among the supports provided people are: a food bank, featuring produce from the Agency's community garden; a Peer program; housing; transportation; mental health services; triage; and case management.
